Why is there(sodium hydroxide) lye in this product? I wouldn't think you should leave caustic lye on the skin

Is this product mattifying at all? If not, what moisturizer do you recommend for oily, acne prone, mature (40+) skin? I currently use the preclense cleansing oil, the clearing skin wash, and the daily microfoliant. Thanks in advance!

Fantastic, but the smell is OBNOXIOUS
This is such a great moisturizer for oily skin. Its very light, not greasy, and very hydrating. The SUPER STRONG floral scent is pushing nauseating, but I can put up with it for the moisturizing aspect.

This is an extremely light moisturizer. Dermalogica isn't kidding when they say it's the moisturizer for those afraid to moisturize because of oily skin… While it wasn't enough moisture for my 46 year old “oily†skin, it would have been perfect for me in my teenage years.
