Gorgeous but I wish it had the colors in the ad!

I'm going to review the actual product before I go into detail on the issues I had, to spare those only wanting to know about performance the time reading everything. It's definitely an over-performer. The pigment is ridiculous (in the best way). While I've seen certain influencers speak on over-p...igment, that's only coming from people who are lacking pigment of their own (I mean that in the nicest way possible). As a pale person that does makeup primarily on my friends, their family, my daughter, her friends, etc. most of which are beautiful people with various shades of brown skin; I can say with confidence that the extra pigment was a welcomed change in my collection. I definitely only apply it one cheek at a time because it dries down quick and makes blending difficult and gets patchy. I've had no issues blending with a brush, sponge or fingers. I like to use an electronic mister on my brush which makes blending completely effortless (dollar tree, yall, get it). I don't see any cons. I don't even mind that stealthy $2 price increase a couple weeks after launch (hey, get that money). However, I did have an issue! I received a few of these as an early Mother's Day gift from a friend that knows I collect blush like I know she collects lip products. I saw the launch email and was thrilled to see what I THOUGHT was a lavender blush, so I grabbed a screenshot and texted it to her and she responded with a screenshot of what she wanted. About 30 minutes later she says she can't find the color in the advertisement, so I forward the email thinking maybe our identical iPhone 14s mysteriously have different color settings. She says she sees it's lavender in the ad but it's not on the website. This turns into an hour-long hysterical process where we're using pens and paper physically matching colors on the website to the email image. We agree on the shade Soft Tulip. I also got Marigold and Sweet Berries (love them). It's not lavender. It's pink, definitely in the bubblegum family which I have no shortage of. I was disappointed more than anything because there's no shortage of bubble gum pinks, but nude mauves and spicy browns, lavenders and purples, corals and oranges, fuchsias and reds are always neglected. I was thrilled to see the spiced tones for this drop and they're gorgeous! Alas, I'm still on my hunt/wait for lavender. 🤧
