Hugely Disappointing

Look y'all, I was way too hype for this product. I couldn't wait to get my hands on it! Strivectin makes good stuff! It seemed like a nice product with added spf and I'm always looking for a good spf. The fact that it's supposed to be an illuminating lotion while also addressing wrinkles was just to...o good to be true! For someone with dry, sensitive skin like me, this sounded like a new holy grail for me. Words can never adequately express my disappointment with this stuff. I loved it with the first use! It gave me a gorgeous glow without accentuating anything too crazy, it felt nice, and it even smelled slightly of lemon - nice! A week later, I have some regrets. By the second time I used it, I noticed it was weirdly separated. You know how sour cream will separate and have the liquid on top? It looked like that. I guessed I mustn't have shook it enough, so I shook it up some more and then it burst out of the tube. I'm talking like cyst-popping video worthy, just oozed out all over the place - and it was still separated and chunky looking! If it sounds nasty, it's because it was!!! I just rolled with it and mixed it on the back of my hand until it was homogenized again, then applied. I thought it was just an off day. NOPE! It's like that every day! Ew!!! Three days in I started noticing some slightly breakouts - to be expected when trying a new product! But by day 5 I had at least one painful and sore ZIT! I know I'll have a dark spot from that one. The final straw for me is that I thought maybe I just need to give it a rest and try again with the product after it sits a bit, and I grabbed some Cerave spf from the grocery store. I was in the sun all day today and didn't feel hot on my face or anything! My face felt like it was getting burned on cloudy days with this product! So the 'spf' part of it is LAUGHABLE! It isn't doing anything to protect! Total shame. This is the only product I've ever tried from this particular line with strivectin and I won't be trying anything else. Can't wait to get my money back. Stay away!!
