- Apply a thin layer to entire face twice a day after cleansing, or spot-apply if you are using another leave-on acne treatment.
- Using other topical acne drugs at the same time or right after use of this product may increase dryness or irritation of skin. If this occurs, only one medication should be used unless directed by a doctor.
- Follow with a lightweight, oil-free hydrator like Dramatically Different Oil-Free Gel.
- If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce usage to every other day.

I love this gel. I use it on my entire face nightly to control oil, plugging, and blackheads. A little goes a long way which helps because it is expensive. But so effective! I'm 71 and people are always asking me what serums I use on my face. Well, this is it. I am sad to see the salicylic acid reduced from 2% to 1%. Those of us with oily skin really need that extra strength. I'd even pay a little extra for a double strength version. Please bring it back.

Why has the Acne Solutions Advanced Clearing Gel changed the amount of the most important ingredient??? I've been using Clinique products off & on for over 30yrs why do changes need to be happening to perfect products JUST LET THEM BE GREAT DO NOT MAKE CHANGES TO THE ORIGINALS THAT HAVE WORKED FOREVER!!!!

I have been using this product for years. I just recently finished an older bottle and ordered new. Wow! Price is higher and bottle is way smaller! I wish I could upload the photo that I took for comparison. I have used many Clinique products since my early 20s. I am almost 59. I always felt Clinique was a trusted brand. I knew they were pricey, but felt it was worth it. Now it seems their prices have skyrocketed in the last year or so. So now I realize they are just like all the rest.

I was apprehensive about purchasing this product because of some reviews I read. I had a small bump of what looked like acne on my left cheek. After two applications, it came to a head and I was able to extract it painlessly! I thought it too good to be true, but a had a second bump near my left eye and it too, came to a head!
