I really wanted to love this cleanser because of all the positive reviews, but my experience has been mixed. I have combination to dry sensitive skin and was looking for a water-based cleanser for my AM simple routine and PM double-cleansing routine. The cleanser foams easily and does a good job of cleaning. Its lightweight texture spreads smoothly across the face, but it leaves my skin feeling dehydrated and in need of moisture. Surprisingly, it also dries out my hands, which I have never experienced with a facial cleanser before. Following up immediately with toner and moisturizer helps a little, but my skin still feels tighter than I would like. The biggest issue for me is the smell. Even though it is labeled fragrance-free, the scent is surprisingly strong and somewhat unpleasant. It reminds me a lot of Dove Sensitive bar soap, the classic "clean soap" smell. I do not mind it on my body, but having it on my face means the scent lingers near my nose, which makes the experience less enjoyable. If you are sensitive to smells or prefer truly neutral fragrance-free products, this could be a dealbreaker. I will continue using it to see if my skin eventually adjusts, but this has been my experience so far after multiple uses. Overall, it cleans effectively, but the dryness and smell make it difficult to fully enjoy or recommend as a daily option.
