Most Helpful Positive Review SOLID Powder Foundation
I have bought this powder time and time again for over 5 years. I am a MAC makeup artist and a powder foundation wearer, and only use liquid concealer to spot conceal underneath. I have tried a lot of powder foundations from many high end brands and a few drugstore, and this is a powder I can always rely on. It gives a medium-full coverage when used with a dense powder brush (my favorite in combo with this product is the Tarte airbuki bamboo powder foundation brush) and I push the product into the skin and then buff it out. It leaves a slight glow to the skin, while keeping it dry, so it is especially good for oily skin. This powder in the shade Translucent (Its NOT Translucent) Is my perfect winter shade, but the downfall to this powder is that there are a lack of colors. In summer, there is not a shade for me as they run too pink. Another drawback to this product is the amount of flashback you receive in flash photography im assuming due to the high SPF. This can also become a bit heavy or cakey if you try to use it to blot oily skin because it does have so much coverage. Overall, I absolutely love the way this lays on the skin and it lasts me a good 8 hours before touch ups. Just a lack of shades and the flashback sucks.
Most Helpful Critical Review Made my Pores look huge!
I've heard good reviews on this product and generally like PP products! This one was a major fail for me. I have combo skin, and was looking for a good powder foundation with an spf, this one looked good. It has some light shimmer in it, and while I love a nice shimmer/highlight, this was terrible. It emphasized my pores, I swear I could see every one and they looked huge! And highlighted any wrinkles/expression creases that I made during the day. I tried it with various primers, moisturizers etc... I really did want to like this product! Major fail for me!

Vitamin A will make your face more sensitive around the sun. Why would would you put it on this SPF powder? Seems like a dumb idea.

I bought this in translucent because I wanted a sheer powder with an spf and canmot find a typical white HD powder with sunscreen built in. For reference I am a light-med with normal skin and few wrinkles or enlarged pores. The color left an odd taupey cast on my skin and accentuated every flaw regardless of different application methods...so its a no for me. Might be good for a younger person.

Bought the translucent one. I got it because of the spf. It's really hot where I live and mineral Spf in a powder is very useful. I have sensitive skin and this product did not irritate it.
Beautiful coverage and added benefits..

I love this pressed mineral powder. I used their loose powder for years, and then switched to the pressed when the store didn't have my color in stock. The coverage is the best, hands down. The added benefit? This mineral powder kills zits. I kid you not. It also covers a myriad of sins without looking cakey. You don't have to use a lot - let it do the work for you. Lasts a long time, too.
Serious white cast

Horrible powder, I usually love their products but I ended up returning this one. Even with a light touch this gave me a chalky face. Definitely not for anyone slightly tan or deeper.

I had high hopes for this powder but it just doesn't work for me. The translucent shade isn't translucent and leaves me looking sickly white. For reference, I have NW20 so I'm pretty light as it is. This will not work for anyone who's doesn't have a fair skin tone. It also caked around my nose and accentuated my pores. Hard pass for me.
Will probably buy again

I was surprised at how well this goes on and the color matches very well. I usually don't wear powder because I have combination skin and regular face powder makes dry areas look worse. Using my regular spf makes my face too shiny so putting this on top has been very helpful.

I love the brand. This does blur fine lines somewhat, but the translucent leaves my face pasty white. I've tried brushing and brushing to try to get it to blend and it will not. Even the smallest amount leaves my face white. It also leaves my chin area looking cakey. I'm very disappointed!
Can't live without this product.

I just got this product last week after ordering it online. SPF has been my new obsession lately and this powder is an essential for re-application of SPF. I bought the translucent shade, It's lightweight and easy to apply. Perfect for those days where you apply a full face of makeup in the morning and can't /don't want to wipe it off to be able to re-apply SPF every 2 hours. The best part is that it's (obviously) Mineral sunscreen and not chemical, which is much more efficient for anti-aging. It's also great for sensitive skin and very affordable. This has easily become a must-have in my makeup bag, I will no longer be going without it!

Looks beautiful on the skin.Goves an airbrushed look!I get so many compliments. I will purchase again and again!
I would buy it only if they reformulate it without vitamin A

I loved this powder foundation because of the spf 30 until I read the ingredients unfortunately it contains retinyl palmitate which is a vitamin A derivative and it's proven to be carcinogenic!
Please remove this ingredient from it and make it ewg verified.
This is my favorite!!

This is great full coverage lightweight foundation.. its by far my favorite. I used to use there powder version but this pressed powder is so much better and way less messy. I love how it covers pores for a smooth finish and it dosen't feel like traditional cakey makeup.
I will buy this again

I've used Physician's Formula Loose Powder since I was 16! I love the amount of product that comes with the loose powder; however, I'm getting closer to my 30s and have been wanting to switch to a powder with an SPF at least at 30 to help protect my skin more.
I was excited to see Physician's Formula offer this item as it met that want, but the product hasn't impressed me as much as my tried and true. I don't feel as the value is as good.
With that being said, take my review with a grain of salt as I may be biased. I think I prefer the loose powder over a pressed! I probably will look into other loose powder options with SPF 30+ when I am through with this product.

I LIVED for this pressed powder it gave amazing coverage, without being cakey, and was affordable and available at drug stores. Now they changed the formula and it's extremely cakey, not as much coverage, and all over awful compared to how it used to be! So disappointed! I'll never go back, I've switched to bare minerals and it's 100000X better!

Love this brand of makeup.

Love the brush it comes with its a perfect brush for blending! I use this to set my foundation. A little goes a long way and there's no need to cake it on as a little is all it takes with good blending. Best way to describe is its a full coverage powder so a little is all it takes. Love it has the SPF in it too.
Cakey and Unflattering

After reading reviews on online forums and seeing the reviews on Ulta, I had high hopes for the Physicians Formula Mineral Wear Talc-Free Mineral Airbrushing Pressed Powder. I have combination skin with a fair complexion and neutral undertones. I set my makeup in the morning with Laura Mercier loose setting powder, but halfway through the workday, I get shiny. I wanted something that I could use at work to keep my makeup matte. I bought the translucent shade online. When it arrived, I noticed that the powder is really dark and shiny looking (I checked the box to make sure that they sent me the right color). I decided to try the powder anyway, and it applies way too dark and yellow over my makeup. I tried blending it in with a brush and then a makeup sponge (the brush it comes with is useless). The powder looks like a cakey mask. It makes me look older and emphasizes pores. This is the worst product I have ever purchased. The 5 star reviews are obviously fake. I can't wait to return this product for something better. What a disappointment.
No to the mineral version
Meems from Cleveland, OH
I usually use Physicians Formula and Ulta was out of my regular so I tried this. It was terrible! I used it like I would any other pressed powder and it immediately caked onto my skin and right into my lines. I tried to rub it off and it seemed to make it look more caked on. It provided no matte finish and looked shiny immediately.
It's mediocre, I've used better powder foundations!!

I am a gal who absolutely loves a great quality & beautiful powder foundation. Unfortunately, this product didn't impress me much. The included brush makes it difficult to apply. However, it does come in a pretty little compact with a mirror included!
I love it!

I LOVE this powder so much!!!!! I have been using it for years and love the beautiful airbrushed look it gives my skin, a little goes a long way and has great coverage, but you can add more until you get the coverage you want! Just be sure to blend it really well into your skin if you plan to apply a ton of it;) but yea, great coverage, and beautiful airbrush finish, I LOVE IT!!!!!:)
used to be my favorite

This has always been my go to. Liquid foundations don't really work for me and this has always worked beautifully. I am definitely getting older, but now I feel like this powder accentuates it more. I am 31 and with this powder I look every bit of it and some. I have 5 kids so needless to say I have some wrinkling in my face, lol. But my face looks younger without the make up on than it does with the make up. It accentuates my lines so dramatically now that I can't wear it and feel comfortable with my appearance. It also feels different on my face. More like a mask. Not sure what changed, but I really hope that they see the reviews and change it back. Also, I don't know if it has always looked like this and I'm just now noticing or if the coloring has changed as well, but I feel that it makes me look more Orange. I felt like it looked way more natural throughout the years than it does now. I hate having to go find new make up products and go through the process of seeing what works for my skin and what doesn't. I'd rather just have the thing that has worked for me continue to work for me. You can't beat the price point, especially when it's buy 1 get 1 for 50% off. But the price point isn't worth it if it doesn't work. You might as well go for a more high end make up. Please change it back.
