I'm a lip balm fanatic and have been using this lip balm for 20 years and it's still the best formula that keeps your lips moist for a long time without having to reapply often. And believe me…I've tried about 100 other brands. The bad thing about this lip balm is the tube design. It has no easy application to apply on the lip. I've been asking them to change the tube design and I see there are many of the same comments here so I'm not sure why they will not update the design to have a lip application like the one they use with the SPF. Also, when I buy this at other stores such as Bluemercury and Dillards, it seems to be old. The balm is very yellow, watery and taste bitter. I had to return it to the store a few times now. Will try ordering directly through this sit and see if it's fresher.
I agree with some of the other reviews. I have been using the Kiehl's lip balm with SPF 15 for years and now it's no longer available. I don't like that this one only has SPF 5 and does not have the easy lip applicator. Who wants to use their dirty finger on their lips. Kiehls needs to bring back the lip blam with SPF 15 and the easy applicator.

I have been using Aquaphor forever and I love it, but decided to get this lip balm to try something else because my dry lips weren't going away. My lips were chapped for an entire week and I put this on at night and went to sleep and woke up with zero dry skin on my lips!! I am amazed! I am almost in disbelief because of how quickly it worked for me, but it did!! I was applying stuff all day before Kiehl's and nothing was relieving it.. if you are debating getting this, just do it!!! You won't regret it!! And the .5 oz size is bigger than most tubes of lip balms. It's a thicker product (comparable to Vaseline), so this will last a really long time!! The only downfall, if you consider it one, is that you have to apply it with your finger due to not having a smooth tip, but that doesn't bother me at all.. Love it so much!!

I got this as a sample last year and stuck it in a drawer until I recently re-found it. Although this is reminiscent of Vaseline or Aquaphor, I have used both of those and this, and this is superior. Aquaphor and Vaseline feel like they sit on my lips and don't soak in, and eventually wear off. This balm is greasy feeling, but after about a half hour it settles in and my lips feel great. It's more long lasting and moisturing than other balms. I will definitely be buying this when the sample tube runs out.

I've used countless lip balms, sleeping masks, chapsticks, aquaphor etc and this is the only thing to work for me. I have the dryest lips, I get eczema really bad and this healed my lips after 2 uses. No frills, no scent, terrible packaging but this stuff is the real deal if you have sensitive lips. Better then kiehls butter mask, better then laniege lip sleeping mask, better then anything you've tried. You won't be disappointed.

This lip balm is absolutely amazing, but it doesn't have an applicator tip, which wouldn't typically be a big deal, but with germs and all the crazy going on in the world right now, I would prefer not to put my hands directly to my mouth when applying any sort of gloss or balm.
If you don't care either way about application, then disregard my last statement. I promise if you get this product, you will not be disappointed!

Product recommended to me but after reading the reviews I'm hesitant to purchase. Frustrating to see a company so blatantly ignore their customers to cut costs.

This is my favorite lip balm by far. So moisturizing and my lips look so glossy in a hydrated way. Also I'm acne prone and easily break out from lip balms and had no issue with this

I was very happy with the results in this product, but after using for a bit I finally checked out the ingredient list and was disappointed to see "petrolatum" (petroleum jelly) as the main ingredient, which I prefer not to use.

The balm does not have an applicator so it is very awkward to use and uncomfortable, it is an easy fix. The product itself is very useful works very well

Softens chapped lips. Just what I need.

I've used this since I was 15 yo, saw it in a magazine & tried it. I refuse to use anything else since! Leaves a nice gloss on your lips & truly hydrates. Doesn't just lay on top. My favorite is the ones with SPF, because the sun here is no joke! Little glossy for men, but the men's one is JUST as great!!

Both of the last two tubes of the lip balm I've received have started to smell really funky. I've been using this product since the 1990s, have had tubes stashed in golf bags, toiletry bags, my car, using them sparingly, and never had any of them smell like these last two. Honestly, I can't even tell if it's the balm or the plastic...it doesn't seem to smell on me(?). The viscosity also seems different...thinner and greasier.

I really love this lip balm. I have had dozens and I buy them three at a time to keep in every jacket, bag, room, etc.
It's really nourishing and I like that it gives a healthy, shiny look without the stickiness of a gloss. This stuff is really great I have been using for years and will continue to use it.

Hands down my family's favorite lip balm and we've tried many. My son and daughters in their 20s love it! One of my girls begged me to send her some at school because nothing else worked as well. That said, the tube is not as great as the jar was. This is a huge miss on the company's part and I hope they will listen to customers and bring it back! There are several favorite products missing from the line up ever since the company was purchased and as a decades long customer, it is really frustrating. As the saying goes, "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" please! Thank you.

Like every other reviewer on here I am asking you bring back the jar. Definitely not the same in a tube. Smart companies listen to their customers and it?s a shame you haven?t yet.

I got this product in a gift with service during the Galentine's Blowout Special and I got obsessed with it! I had to go back and buy the full size!

I had such high hopes with the brand that it is. When I use it my lips stay chapped and feel dehydrated every single time. Does not matter what the weather is like . I still get the same results .

My lips have stayed chapped even applying chap stick, etc til I found Kiehl's lip balm. Kiehl's is the only balm that has healed my lips.
LW from chicago, il
Pretty disappointed. The consistancy is similar to vaseline, so when it wears away it didnt help the dryness
Peach from USA
Nothing super great but it's a pretty good lip balm, although you could probably find something cheaper that's the same feel.

I had been on the hunt for a lip balm that didn't dry out my lips more. I used the Burt's bees lip balm prior because, to me, nothing could beat it. WOW this product beats everything I've ever used. Truly moisturizing, with an amazing consistency.
Wacky from MI
I have tried Kiehls hand cream and love it so I decided to try the lip balm. I am an Aquafor person and this is pretty close. The texture is nice and it stays on for awhile. It does not have the true lip applicator so it is hard to know how much is coming out-usually it's too much. I would still recommend and buy again.
DJ from Tampa, FL
I have eczema on my upper lip and flares when I use most chapsticks or lip balms. This is the only one I can use that soothes the flare up and honestly looks nice on the lips. (Looks like lipgloss) no smell and no color.
joanna from ca
i have pretty sensitive lips and i heard so many people rave about this so i thought it would be good for my lips, but it dried them out like many other chapsticks i've had bad experiences with
ROO from Mesa, AZ
In all honesty, I am not impressed. Aquaphor makes a better lip balm for cheaper. I do not like the nozzle it comes out of. It doesn't form to the lip either.
Raven from Mesa, AZ
Definitely think you should save your money. Aquaphor has a lip balm that's cheaper and I love it!
