Most Helpful Positive Review Cerave knocks it out of the park...but is it inclusive? This sunscreen has a wonderful texture. It goes on smooth like Cerave's other lotions, and leaves a nice subtle glow. My experience with other tinted mineral sunscreens is that they overly matte or still make me look washed out somehow but this one just looks like my skin. This is definitely the best mineral/tinted sunscreen I have found so far, and far cheaper than what I was using before. It includes other skin-improving ingredients standard to many Cerave lotions, including Hyaluronic Acid and Niacinimide. It also has Salicylic acid in it, which is a bit confusing to me since I was under the impression that SA and other acne fighting acids make your skin more sensitive to the sun, but I also just read something about SA protecting against UV damage?
My only question would be: I'm quite fair-skinned and a bit skeptical that this product would be equally invisible on darker tones. I can't test this myself, but just wondering what other people's experiences are? I know that good mineral sunscreen options can be harder to find for darker-skinned people. I would love to see Cerave have another option that comes out darker than peach!
Most Helpful Critical Review never again I bought this sunscreen based on a YouTube review that said, among other things, that the tint of this sunscreen doesn't affect the color of your skin, it's only enough to counteract the white cast of mineral sunscreen ingredients, and supposedly completely blends in. That turned out to be not true at all, this sunscreen is definitely too brown for my skin tone. It is also extremely shiny, and, as the others have said, does not dry down. When running errands around the neighborhood, I prefer to just wear sunscreen by itself, especially since some of them have quite a skin-perfecting effect. This particular sunscreen can't be worn on its own at all, it's extremely ugly. Maybe it would perform better under makeup - I don't know, but I am not inclined to try because it's just so dark! I would have returned it, but I got it with reward points (thinking for sure I would love it), so I wouldn't get any money back anyway. Maybe I'll try mixing it with the white sunscreen to see if that works any better.

The consistency is very nice but the tint is too dark and orange for my skin. I applied it, hoping I could blend it out and put makeup over it, but the orange pigment still showed through after three layers of foundation. If you have medium warm skin, this sunscreen should work well, but I would not recommend it to anyone with a lighter or darker skin tone.
Nice color for light-medium skin tones 5
Aly from Nj
I don't know why everyone says this sunscreen has a white cast on light skin tones, I could only see that happening on dark skin tones because the shade is a light – medium color
So far this is one of the nicest sunscreen 5

I use this just after skin care. If I am wearing eye makeup I do it first. Fallout. I wait a few minutes before applying foundation. I do truly enjoy it and I am not a sunscreen fan
A good spf for the price 4

I really enjoy this tinted sunscreen. I got this because of a recommendation from Hyram and I really like it. It has replaced my everyday tinted moisturizer and I'm glad that this is a mineral sunscreen white a good coverage to protect from the sun. Since it's tinted it has no white cast which is great. It is only 1 shade and as a white woman who has a slight tan, it works perfectly. It starts out dark but then sheers out as you rub it in and matches my skin tone within a few minutes of being on my face. I then set it with powder and I'm good. I do wish that CeraVe would come out with 1 lighter shade and 2 darker shades than this one to make it more inclusive since it is a great sunscreen. It does have the tendency to get greasy but I like having a sheen on my face and even after a long restaurant shift my face hasn't slide down my face haha.

The product made my oily skin even more oily, but besides that it wasn't visible when put on the skin!!
Awesome for mature skin 5

I am perplexed that others found this tinted formula dark. I am light medium skin tone and it is barely visible on my skin. It does offer great moisture for drier skin and leaves a " glow" to my face. Some without aging skin perhaps would find this " shiny" or " oily". However, I did my research and this glow was a selling point for me. When applied it looks like my skin, but better, dries down in about 15 minutes but still a tad tacky and the " glow" remains. Working under makeup is another very important selling point. Yes, yes, it is foundation friendly!! Wait.the recommended 15 minutes and my foundation looks exceptional over this sunscreen. No pilling or moving the foundation....just perfection. I've purchased " tinted" sunscreens before and the colors were too dark, formula too thick but this tint is the best I've tried and would repurchase again.
One of the Best sunscreen products 5

This and la roche tinted are the best sunscreens in the market . It really helps with hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone . **should never go out of stock**
it's alright 3

this stuff kind of clumps up inside the bottle and makes it comes out weird. i guess i recommend shaking the bottle before every use, it still works well as a tinted moisturizer and it's not sheer at first but it becomes more sheer throughout the day. also kind of sticky to the touch so you might need to use powder or just less product.
too dark for pale skin 3
Clare from PA
I was so excited to use this product. I was disappointed. It was much darker than pictured and I bit grainy/ greasy. When I wear a mask most of the tint rubs off leaving my mask looking orange. I like how it is like a foundation but I won't worry about my skin.
leaves me looking really oily and greasy :( 3

Tint is not shear 1
Kelly from Portsmouth NH
Tint is not shear, made me look fairly orange. I should have just bought a non-tinted sunscreen moisturizer
Love it 5

Hydrating and coverage 5
Ashley from Flint, MI
This is my new favorite product. It's hydrating and offers coverage. If you aren't going for a full face look this gives your skin an even look while offering protection from the sun!
I would buy this product again 4

This has the needed minerals and zinc for a good sunscreen and has a tint to it
Pore perfecting! 4
AMY from NC
I got a sample of this and didn't realize it was tinted. I've never used tinted sunscreen or tinted moisturizer but gave it a shot.
I happened to be using my magnifying mirror when applying and noticed this stuff immediately blurred my large pores! I really like it a lot.
Only complaint is that it doesn't really "dry" all the way. I guess you could say it's a little greasy but kinda makes your skin look dewy. I'm definitely buying a full sized tube!
Looks oily, but great for acne scars 4
Vaeh from Des Moines
It leaves my face looking super oily, but nothing some powder can fix. It's great for slightly toning the red out of my skin and covering up my acne scars.
Best ever! Please never discontinue this product!!! 5

My daughter & I both use this now & love it. Glides on, a little bit goes a long way for light coverage & blends seamlessly into skin, great for everyday without adding foundation (but I have added foundation layer for meetings at work/interviews & it's the perfect base). Not greasy, & feels like you're not wearing makeup at all. CeraVe has had the best sunscreen on the market since it came out, & I've put up with the thickness drawback bc it's so effective. But there is no drawback to this amazing tinted moisturizer- I live in the Arizona desert with 0% humidity & have dry aging skin (To put this in perspective, here in Tucson it is not unusual to feel dry patches on face & arms within an hour of moisturizing). Have gotten my 19yr old daughter to try & had to order more bc she's hooked too. Her skin is very oily, but she's getting less acne with this & says she also feels less oily. She hates feeling anything on her skin, & I had given up years ago on trying to get her to wear sunscreen on a daily basis (even though this is the skin cancer capitol of the US) bc I would buy & try, & she would hate every one of them! This is the first sunscreen/foundation she has been able to wear daily without creating more skin issues. To sum up, I rarely do reviews but I'm doing this for selfish reasons! Please try this! And I hope love it too & keep buying it, bc I never want them to discontinue this product!!!
I got opened tube 2

I want to return bc I got opened tube it's ridiculous and tube is half empty . This literally crazy I want my money back or I want sealed pack tube
can be better but not the best 3
melissa from wa
i like this better than the other one because of the tint that you can mix with moisturiser but the shade is too dark.
It's alright not the best 3
Mandy from Minnesota
When I used it I noticed that it took FOREVER to dry and it a orangey color. It might be good for when I have a tan in the summer but I wouldn't use it in the winter bc of the tint color. I just wish it actually dried and there were more tint selections. Otherwise, it did protect my skin from the sun and made my face look smooth.
purrrr 5

This product is great, i have an oily skin and it works great and it blended in with my skin.
Awesome Mineral Sunscreen 5
🤍 from OR
This sunscreen is great, it's just thick and can be very hard to blend all over your face, especially with the white cast. I struggled with it in the beginning but once I started mixing it with a little bit of my moisturizer, it's been AMAZING. It blends on so much easier and doesn't leave any white cast. It's a mineral sunscreen which is typically why it's more complicated to use vs a chemical sunscreen BUT at the end of the day, mineral sunscreens are the way to go, so you gotta have patience and just work with it in order to truly protect your skin!
great 5
Mariah from Chicago
this is the best spf. the original sunscreen is very white & makes me break out a lot. it doesn't blend well onto the skin at all. this is 10000x better. i do not use foundation anymore because this makes my skin glow! 10/10 would recommend & am buying again & skipping foundation.
