Most Helpful Positive Review Performs like a pro
With less than 60 days before my wedding, I've been panicking because I've been breaking out every month this past year in the same areas (chin & jawline.) I've done everything financially feasible: handfuls of different acne gels from various brands, a professional facial, 10-step Korean skin care routine EVERY night for the past three months, switching to sulfate-free/all natural products, clay and peeling masks during the week... YOU NAME IT. This is THE only one-step solution I've tried so far that has significantly reduced and dried out my acne. By day three, there were no traces of my recent breakouts after my usual make up routine of foundation and concealer. You can tell it's working as soon as you put it on because your skin gently pulsates at first. You simply cannot beat the price for the results.
Most Helpful Critical Review Didn't work for me
I've basically finished the entire glass bottle of this drying lotion, I originally heard about how great it was for spot treatments, therefore I bought it for when I get that one zit that randomly pops up, but it did nothing for me. I don't think it did anything negative, however, it was ineffective FOR ME. I would dab some on with a cotton swab, and leave it over night (around 6-7 hours) and in the morning when I wash my face the zit(s) appeared the exact same as the night before. No difference. I'm still looking for another one that might work better.

I put this on top of acne spots that haven't come to the surface yet. I wake up after putting it on to all the gunk at the surface of the skin.

There's cheaper and better alternatives for this. This burns and dries your skin . I'm aware this is what it says but too much drying can be the cause of more acne.

WHEN I FIRST GOT THIS I DIDN'T THINK IT WOULD WORK BUT AT NIGHT I TRIED IT, BUT IT SMELLED WORSE THAN ALCOHOL! BUT THE NEXT MORNING... I CHECKED IN THE MIRROR AND I SAW A BIG DIFFERENCE! MY PIMPLES HAVE GOTTEN SMALLER IN THE PAST 10 HOURS!! I DEFINITELY RECOMMEND THIS PRODUCT!
dis really works
Kim Impossibable from SoCal
I've hormonal, cystic acne with white heads that can both be so painful. Dotted this on overnight and saw the size and color dramatically decrease the next morning. Sure, it's pricey for a tiny bottle but it really works on my stubborn acne and is the most effective spot treatment for me to this day. And it can last you awhile when you take care of the product.
Not the best

This only works on my skin sometimes.
Faith from Tulsa, OK
I don't think I've ever done a review on Ulta, but I have to say this stuff really surprised me. I pair it with the buffering lotion, which I don't think is recommended but it's works AMAZINGLY for me. I have the most stubborn acne of anyone I know and break out daily. I take off my makeup, wash my face, then use my clean hand to put the buffering lotion all over my face like a moisturizer. Then I use the drying lotion on the actual spots. Together, they practically clear my skin overnight and I'm glowing in the morning. I don't know how long this success will last but it's been going strong for a few weeks and if I don't use it for one night I notice a significant difference. I'm super oily so I don't find that these products dry out my skin. If you're the same maybe try them together and see if that works for you. They're like my tiny superheroes

An Amazing Spot Treatment!

This product is my absolute favorite from the company! It's a simple pink solution that you use on dark/acne spots. Dip your cotton swab in, dab it on the spot, clean it off in the morning, and poof! Overnight, I saw how light those dark/acne spots got! I appreciate how it is in a glass bottle, as opposed to the un-environmental friendly plastic bottle. There is plenty of solution in the bottle, mine has last for a good time. Just a tip, do not shake the bottle. If you do, don't worry leave it on a flat surface and it will be fine. I highly recommend the Mario Badescu Drying Lotion for people with stubborn dark/acne spots!

Worked so good at first I loved it. But two, three months later. I'll get a blemish and use the drying lotion and it does nothing.
Does not reduce pimples
Morgan from USA
I've used this for over a year and I am underwhelmed. It dries out your skin but does nothing to reduce pimples, for me anyway. When you get to the end of the bottle, the liquid on the top is gone, but there's still a ton of the pink stuff in the bottom, but there is no way to get it out without the liquid. Seems wasteful. Will not purchase again.

Old school and effective
Sonya Blade from Detroit, MI
Idk if this is news to many, but DO NOT shake the bottle before use. You need to deep a q tip into the pinky substance at the bottom, and then apply that. This sort of thing (a zinc+alcohol solution) was something my dermatologist prescribed when I was 13 and had teenager acne. It helped a lot then, and it helps now when I'm 28 and have occasional blemishes. It's NOT a treatment for any underlying conditions like excessive sebum production, hormonal changes during your period cycle or dirty hands touching your skin, but once a pimple pops up, it dries it out nicely and quickly. Also, if you popped a white head by accident (or on purpose duh), that will both sanitize and calm the spot. I also use it on my back and shoulders spots if their occurre (usually from sweating in the summer), and it works
Best spot treatment I have tried!!!
Cortney from Louisiana
The best spot treatment. Hands down. Big improvement in just one night. I am impressed.
Please don't use this on your face!
aliyahirene from Palm City FL
yall although this product may work at the moment if you look at it in stores 70 percent of it is isopropyl alcohol that's the alcohol they use to kill all bacteria before they give you a shot. you DONT wanna use that on your face it may seem like it's helping but it's just drying your skin out more which will cause excess sebum production in the long run TRY THE ORDINARY

Bought this for my son ..
and let's just say he loves how effective it is
He removed his current pimples with it and now uses it every night to prevent future ones ..

I had such a nasty pimple on the side of my face and I applied this for the first time and the next morning it was gone! It does have a strong smell but as soon as it dries it stops smelling. It also stings for about a minute and then it goes away. Totally worth it!

I use it twice a day until gone.
Worst Thing Ever
MK from Maryland
I have acne-prone skin and all my friends raved about this. This broke my skin out incredibly and made it super red. One of the first ingredients is Isopropyl Alcohol which is awful for your skin. No matter the skin type it's far too drying and will cause skin damage later. Not worth it whatsoever.
Ale from California
Love this product! But since it is very drying, it will leave white dry patches on your skin the next day.
Just for whiteheads
Abby from Indiana
Bottle says "helps dry up surface blemishes" and I assumed that meant your regular monthly red angry pimple.... it did not. I've used it a few times now on my "pesky blemishes" and... nothing. If I had known it was just for whiteheads I wouldn't have wasted my money. Terrible advertising as the bottle doesn't specify what kinds of blemishes it targets. :(
I wond rate this a zero it dose not work at all!
Lary from California
There is nothing good about it.
Ellen from Arizona
It really didn't do much for me, sometimes it would minimize my pimples the slightest bit max but most of the time it didn't do anything. I would just save your money and find something better.
i didn't like it
alli from texas
it really dried out my eyelids and my under eyes towards the point where it was flaky and i never had the experience before but it doesn't make the pimple disappear the next day for me it kind of just goes down a bit
