I haven't used gel liner in a long time because I always had problems with it the smudging in the past. Never tried L.A. Girl's brand before and since they are cruelty-free AND cheap I thought I'd give it a go! So far I really really like it. I did a swatch on my hand when I first got it and was pleasantly surprised by the dark pigmentation for the first swipe. It dries down pretty quickly and was quite difficult to wash off with just hand soap and water. I guess for some people that could be a con for them, but for someone who has oily skin and their make up wears down pretty easily, this is a huge win because it's not going to budge. Plus with actual make up remover, it does come off pretty easily.
I highly recommend this for anyone who has the same issues I have and are looking for a poppin' liner that won't break the bank!
I was looking for a nice opaque black liner and was wanting to switch back to gel liners from liquid, so I thought I'd give this a try since it wasn't very expensive. It applied very sheer, and though you could probably build it up, that's not really an option for clean cut wings. When I tried to add more, the brush just wiped away the existing product and didn't deposit any more eyeliner even when I loaded the brush with a decent amount. I saw some good reviews so maybe I just got a dud but it definitely did not seem long wear, as I was able to smudge it with my finger very easily, and it just wasn't the look I was going for. It might work for some people but I should've just shelled out the money in the first place for a higher quality product. I wouldn't recommend this to someone looking for a consistant application with opaque black liner, and especially not for wings.

Looked more blue than black. Was not what I expected.

Does a solid black wing easily, plus the pot is huge! I found the easiest application is with a flat lip style brush to both pat and drag the product in the right spots.
kal from georgia USA
it transfers like crazy! any oil on your eyelid and it's on there.

This is THE WORST EYELINER i have ever used.
Jrose from Kennesaw, GA
I was very displeased with how this eyeliner applied , it was chalky and not as black as I hoped it would be . I wouldn't recommend.

I was so excited to get this because it had been forever since I had a gel eyeliner, I always loved how easy it was to apply. This product is not creamy or smooth in any way. I'm going to give it one more chance.

I can not give this product a fair, because when it came the lid was not screwed on all the way. So I do not know if the product dried out, or if the product is just not good. I would have asked for a refund but it was only 1.60 I think l. Plus I already had to get a refund on a highlighting brush because it cakes broken, so I don't know if it's the product or if Ulta just doesn't take care of its products before it gets to its paying customers.

it's super dry and flakey. i've messed up my eyeliner brush trying to persuade this product. definitely cheap but not good.

It smudges and takes forever to dry. It's hard and chunky to apply. Do not recomend buying.

I absolutely love this product. It was my first time getting a gel/creme eyeliner that you had to apply with a brush but it is AMAZING. I don't know if I'm every going back to my other eyeliner.

I wish I could say that I loved this eyeliner. I was excited to try a gel formula, as it was new to me. This one was a beautiful dark purple and (bonus!) it was on sale. Well, that should've been a clue that it might not be in optimal condition. This stuff arrived dried out and kind of crumbly. I tried to revive it with a little maracuja oil on the tip of the brush but that only made things worse. Maybe the other colors are good but this one was a big NO for me.

The colors are nice, but it is not easy to apply. It is not creamy or smooth at all. I suggest warming it up for a while before applying. Also it says on the package not to use it on the waterline which was disappointing.

I've been looking for a gel liner to replace the physicians' formula one that was my Holy Grail. This has a nice texture and is pretty easy to work with. The only thing is that I wish the brown would be more pigmented. But it is good for the price

L.A. Girl has come a long way, this is definitely a great pick for beginners. I noticed it's a little dry so I have to add some drops of water or eye drops but stays matte all day and doesn't come off.

I was looking for a gel eyeliner to practice my winged liner with and this was the perfect product for it. It is easy to use and for a good price.

I want to start off with saying this product is so light and creamy. I was about to not purchase it because of some of the reviews but it doesn't dry chalky and it stays on for as long as you wash your face 😳. I use it on my eyebrows, I've tried many many different types of brow gels and they usually dry out, even when you close the lid pretty good. People usually recommend adding an oil to revive the product but I rather not because I don't like shiny eyebrows lol. I would highly recommend this product

I love this liner! I sometimes go in with a liquid liner then top this off to mattify the eyeliner and it works great!
Jade from Miami, FL
First you will need to purchase an eyeliner brush separately. But then it is worth it. I've purchased eyeliner pots from prestige brands and the LA girl black glitter has subtle glitter and excellent pigment. Great value.

I use this for dramatic and simple eye looks. Perfect for beginners and inexpensive. Last hours and has good color.

I usually use liquid eyeliner but don't always love how dark they are in contrast to my pale skin. This gel formula was good for somebody just trying to learn how to apply gel liner. The formula is a bit crumbly and does not go on very dark but lighter more matte color is what I was looking for. I usually use NYX glitter primer and a setting powder on my eyelids first because I have very oily lids. It does run a bit a rub off on my upper lid but not really that much worse than my liquid liner did and it's a little easier to touch up which is nice. Overall I think it's a great starter gel liner and will likely look into something a little higher quality in the future once I perfect my applying skills.
Ashley from Bakersfield, California
I use this as my go to eyeliner when making a winged eyeliner look. It doesn't smudge and it's pigmented and lasts all day.
Melissa from Undisclosed
not the best but it does its job and glides easily
