Most Helpful Positive Review OBSESSED I have tried many eyeshadow primers and this one is by far the best. I have oily eyelids so the problem I have after a few hours is missing eyeshadow. Ever since I started using this primer, my eyeshadow stays put. It really helps my oily eyelids. My eyeshadow doesn't disappear and it doesn't crease! I was hesitant to try it at first because I didn't think a drug store primer would work, but it did. This is a must if you have oily eyelids!
Most Helpful Critical Review Horrible Reaction...Flaky, Irritated, Inflamed I have sensitive skin and after using this for about a week my eyes started burning, got insanely flaky and red and this progressed into conjunctivitis signs. It's been over a week now since the initial reaction (deep red marks in the same place I applied this product that looked like I was wearing dark red eyeshadow, flaky dry skin, burning) and it has progressed into puffy, swollen eyes and burning, irritated skin.
This is the only new product I've added into my routine so I'm fairly certain this is the culprit. I haven't been able to wear any eye makeup and don't really want to leave the house since I've been slathering my eyes in Aquaphor to cope. I've even gone to the lengths of scheduling a doctors appointment because it's that bad. It's painful and inconvenient and I would seriously encourage Milani to pull this from their lineup with all the similar reactions and reviews I've read.
Reviewed by 297 customers Definitely repurchase/mature eye lids 5
Jan from California
I was using Urban Decay primer prior but with mature hooded lids, it would help with the hooded part but dry out the rest of my lid. This primer is perfection. My eyeshadow doesn't crease all day, I can use it all over the lid without it drying my lids out and actually makes my eyeshadow look even better. I will definitely be repurchasing.
Dupe for Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer Potion 5
Fia from Wisconsin
My eyelids will DESTROY liner and shadow. Huge creases, melting, all of it. I'd previously been very happy using Urban Decay's Eyeshadow Primer, my go to for years, but I forgot it one day while on the way to an event, picked this up, and was immensely impressed. It's essentially the same product (very slightly thinner consistency than UD) but at less than half the cost. Could not be happier!
It felt like it was burning my skin 1
Consuela from Ottawa, ON
I bought this product to apply under my eyes to prevent my mascara from smudging. After I applied it I felt a burning/stinging sensation, then removed it pretty quickly. I also applied it on and around my nose just to see what would happen and it stung in that area too :(.
Oily and weird 2
kelzbelz from Texas
Definitely not my fave. Always feels oily and separated no matter how much I massage the tube to make sure it's mixed. If you use too much weird patchiness happens on the outer edges
Just what I needed 5
Nutmeg from Nebraska
Lately my eyeshadow has been moving which was previously a nonissue. I took the advice of many you tubers including Emily Noel and bought this one. They did not steer me wrong. I can wear my eyeshadow again without it sliding and sticking in my creases.
Great for oily lids 5
SB from TX
This is easy to apply and dries down quickly. It leaves a very slightly tacky finish that's perfect for gripping the eyeshadow. I have oily eyelids and this definitely helps with the vibrancy and longevity of my eyeshadow look. I couldn't imagine doing my makeup without this.
not worth 1
Seb from CA
This product has a oily yet gritty texture. I don't see any difference in the longevity of my eyeshadow. Would not recommend.

Stung my eyelids 1
early from Ohio
I used this product once and had no problems with it. The next time I used it, it made my eyelids feel like they were stinging/burning. I wiped it off and just thought maybe the cream eyeshadow I was using was irritating me, but upon trying it once more it created the same feeling.
I've never had this happen before, but I was very disappointed and discontinued using the product.
Love This 5
cheechaw from Houston, TX
A little goes a long way. I bought this because I'm sick of the application process of the wand on the Urban Decay eyeshadow primer. This has the same staying power, is cheaper, and is 1000x easier to apply. Will buy again when I'm out of this one.

Meh 3
product review. from USA
It's very liquidy, it works alright but I'm looking for something more adhesive.
great primer 5
Whit from Asheville
I've owned and used a million eye shadow primers, from drug store to high end, and this one is a fav!
Best primer ever! 5
Alwyn from Phoenix, AZ
I used to swear by another more expensive primer, but since switching to this one I'll never go back! Equally as good, if not better, for a fraction of the cost!!
Too dry doesn't work well 2
disappointed from somewhere
too dry and enhances fine lines on top of eye lids. want to love it but no way I will buy again.
Great everyday priner 4
TT from South Dakota
I love this. I have very oily eyelids so not much holds up on me. This lasts really well. Much better then the UD primers. So far this is taking #2 spot after my lorac eye primer still holding the #1 spot as my shadows last longer with that one but the Milani one still really hangs in there! Great especially for the price!
Hooded Eye's New BFF 5
JessD from Des Moines, IA
I have hooded and my biggest obstacle is keeping my eye liner in place all day (it ALWAYS transfers to my upper lid... it never fails). I have been on a MISSION FROM GOD to find a budget friendly eye primer that works and by golly I HAVE DONE IT!!! this is it!! this is the stuff!! a little goes a long way and I recommend applying with a brush but do it FAST cuz this stuff dries quick, which I also love cuz I am terribly impatient and also, often in a hurry to get ready in the morning. It also lasts me 12+ hours. At around $7/tube this is IT for me < 3 the most bang for your buck in a quick dry product that actually does exactly what it says it will do. purchase it with confidence
Great wear 4

A little goes a long way. Applies easily and works great.
I recommend for oily eyelids and it's a great repurchase! 5

I love this product! It works better than more costly eyeshadow primers and keeps eyeshadow in place on my incredibly oily eyelids.
Drugstore Gem! 5
Kiera Jo from Salt Lake City, UT
The first time I got this it just came with a Milani eyeshadow palette in a Christmas set--I only got it for the palette, but I ended up loving this primer, too! I use it every time I do my makeup, and it works super well for me. When I don't use a primer, I deal with a lot of creasing and a lot of shadow transfer because I have eyelids that are both hooded and oily (even though I have dry skin everywhere else). I'm almost out of my first tube, and I didn't even think about getting a different brand's primer when I know this one does such a great job and is inexpensive! 10/10!
I doubted it was good but surprisingly ITS AMAZING 5
Yuri from Las Vegas
I have always struggled with eyeshadows, but with this product the colors are vivid and truly last all day!!!! I love it.
Would buy again 5

Best primer I have tried.
Long lasting, but very painful. 1
Haley l from Colorado
CONS: As other reviews have stated, this burns HORRIBLY. I thought it was just me or from my use of an acne treatment but this primer stings so bad it makes my eyes water. It is also very hard to blend over this as it keeps it in place immediately.
PROS: It does keep my eyeshadow on for a very long time though & I notice a big difference compared to no primer.
Great Product! 5
Renee S from VA
you really just need a tad bit of this product, A LITTLE GOES A LONG WAY, using to much of the product can make the product not work as it should, the price is great, and it will last you a long time! I bought the smaller size because like I said a little goes a long way!
The best eye shadow primer I've ever used 5
Kelsey from AB
My skin is mostly dry but with my eyes i have excessive oil, everything tends to rub off and my eye shadow cannot last without excessive measures and retouching. I used to use a few different primers, trying to find the best one or right one. Higher end ones and they never worked for me, not at all. I would use the urban decay primers with their eye shadows and have the absolute worst time... my eye shadow would have massive fallout and my eyes would be oily within 2 hours. The only way to make any eye shadow work would be to use a very matte powder over the primer to set it before using my eye shadows. This milani primer is a savior. It dries down in 30 seconds, it leaves an only slightly tacky finish but mostly silky. My eye shadow doesn't have half as much fall out. The eye shadow stays really well also. My eye shadow and liner aren't smudging. Even my mascara transfers less. Its really great because I love to just play with make up and this primer makes it enjoyable to do again.
