Most Helpful Positive Review The Best I've Found
I like my makeup to look natural and really don't like to be able to "see" the foundation. I've used tinted moisturizers and BB creams for years because of their sheer nature, but they all tend to get a bit oily in my t-zone by mid morning. I've just dealt with it. NO MORE! A rep recommended this makeup. I put on my normal moisturizer/SPF30, then the regular Clinique Superprimer and apply this makeup with a damp beauty blender. I need maybe a pea-sized amount, if that. It evens out my redness soooo well, but it looks natural on my skin. I now have coworkers what I've done to my SKIN, not how I've changed my makeup. If I set with a light dusting of powder in my t-zone it stays all day, just perfect. I'm the shade "Linen" and have used "porcelain" in LM TM for color reference.
Most Helpful Critical Review Def. light coverage
This foundation isn't the worst. It's just not what I personally wanted in a foundation. I went into a store looking for a good recommendation, as I originally wanted huda beauty but refuse to color match off a website. She suggested this to me. I needed medium to medium/full coverage, no flashback, won't break me out, longwear, and good on dry skin.
If you build it up I suppose it could work for some, however I had to use a pretty decent amount of product to get he coverage I needed. It also seemed to be too light to cover my bumps well. I have somewhat sensitive skin so I get pigmentation where blemishes are healing and this didn't cover it arbitrarily all. I had to cover with shape tape and then go over it with foundation again after application.
It did stay on pretty well with setting powder and spray, not too oily or drying. But the coverage was a big problem for me. Also the shade I was matched with was too orange for my skin but that could be my fault as I told her I needed something for when I fake tan however my tanner doesn't leave an orange color ( fakebake if youre interested)
Overall I think it would work well for a basic makeup wearer. Someone who has little pigmentation to hide or a foundation and mascara type chick. But not for a glam full face girl like me.

I use make up daily over a sunscreen as I have very light skin.
This makeup is not heavy so works perfectly for any time of day
Best versatile foundation
BaileyRD from MI
Best versatile foundation! I absolutely LOVE THIS FOUNDATION. I was introduced to this by my mother-in-law, who will never use anything else on her sensitive skin. I'm in my late 20's, she in her mid 50's, and we both love how this foundation goes on our different skin types.
I love that is has buildable coverage, you can almost use it as concealer and foundation in one!
For a natural look, I put just a small drop on each cheek, my forehead and my chin and then smooth it out like you would with a tinted moisturizer (a little goes a long way). Then I put a little on a concealer brush and pat it in on any imperfections and under my eyes. For fuller coverage, I apply with a foundation brush, and voila, my face looks flawless.
I also am in love with Clinique Stay Matte powder, which I sometimes set this foundation with after- it keeps your face shine free, but it doesn't cake, settle into lines, or make your face feel dry and tight.

This is the best foundation I've EVER used. I'm 34 and tried them all. I have combo Native American skin and every recommendation I tried never worked for me. I always ran into the same issue. My foundation would be too dry for some area and to oily for another so finding a good fit is hard. I only received this foundation for becoming a diamond member so it was free. So happy I did because it is my go to now. Sits so well on my face and doesn't sink into my fine lines. Coverage is so beautiful! This is a must try!
Looks like skin!

I love the consistency of this foundation, it's easy to build, and goes on beautifully with a beauty blender. It feels lightweight and hydrating, not cakey or thick. I just wish it had more staying power, but I can manage with primer, setting powder and setting spray
Worst foundation I've ever tried!

So cakey and gross. Doesn't blend at all.
I always buy this product.

This is the best foundation I've found thus far to get me complete coverage for my skin tone.

Clinique's Custard is by far the best color match for my extremely fair skin out of any brand I've tried. It stays all day and has decent coverage, but I don't have much acne to cover so I can't speak to that. This version far outperforms the Refresh hydrating even better foundation, as the latter slips and slides and separates by the end of the day— which was not expected for someone with skin as dry as mine. When paired with a nice moisturizer and primer, this foundation does just the trick, even putting up with South Texas heat and humidity.

Best foundation ever!

It has a natural finish, it's light weight on the skin, I love this foundation. I love the packaging because it is great for travel. I also love how it has SPF 15 in it, because I live in Florida and I always want SPF. It's amazing!
Not for anyone with even slightly oily skin

It feels greasy and heavy, and immediately slid off of my skin. I like Clinique products so this was pretty disappointing.
mom uses it and whoo boy the colors.

i dont use this foundation, its my moms, so i cant attest to the formula but i will say that her shade that she uses is labeled as 'moderately fair neutral-cool undertones' and it is most certainly not. its more like medium toned with an orange undertone. she looks orange with it on😺 colors look MUCH lighter online than they are, so im just leaving this review to warn anyone confused about their shade match.

This has been my go to foundation for the last few years. It is light and paired with the Clinique face powder you can't go wrong. I have gotten compliments and have referred my friends to try Clinique. The price is fair , it's a great quality that I agree with.
It's fine, better than some.

I got this for free somehow, I don't remember, guessed at the shade and have been using it sporadically. I picked the 2nd lightest, although I'm not porcelain, it's just that the other light shades looked so much darker in person than they do online. I was right, this oxidizes soon after application, but the lighter formula turns into an appropriate color. I'd say go lighter than you might normally, maybe. I don't think I'll get this again, however. I like the end result, it's not too dry like Estee Lauder Double Wear, it's easy to blend (unlike ELDW), and a decent medium coverage, but it just feels so heavy. It's as though it doesn't fully dry down, like I'm fighting to get it past the concealer stage to the powder stage to wrangle it into place. It can't compare to Becca Skin Love, which goes on like natural skin without the heavy feeling. I recently switched back to Becca after using this Clinique for a couple of weeks (trying to use it up) and it was like... a relief to get back to normal. I have combo, slightly oily, slightly acne prone aging skin with dark spots, if that helps.

Because of the new rules they would not let me touch the bottle now I must return very not user friendly way to do things
I love this foundation. Great coverage. Light weight.

After turning 40 I had a difficult time finding a foundation that didn't break me out, feel heavy, or give me a rash. Now at 50 I developed malasma, clinique foundation and powder give me complete coverage with a natural look.

I have tried a lot of foundation over the years and this one is my favorite. I don't have since breakouts with this one. After a long day, this makeup still looks great.

I liked the coverage this provided, but it made me face look oily throughout the day.

I came to store after receiving an email with a discount coupon for a store purchase. The discount was denied due to "prestige" product and I was not allowed to use my Ultimate Rewards either. Also the store was out of stock of the free item for purchase of clinic makeup. So I essentially struck out three times. It was a very frustrating and disappointing visit.

Natural foundation and good for summer when you just want something light.
Better than other foundations
Kristina from Scranton pa
I have tried every foundation and everything breaks me out. Clinique is better than most with not aggravating my skin. Ulta makeup artist recommended this to me over It Cosmetics because it supposedly is good on oily skin, evens and corrects skin and coverage could be full. So far I noticed it Isn't full coverage even after multiple layers, it doesn't fully dry but not too dewy either and it doesn't last a full day on parts of my face. It's looks like your own skin but better. It's very natural. It has made me break out on my jaw but I think it's because I put on two layers for fuller coverage and concealer. I haven't noticed improved skin tone or texture yet. It's been two weeks. The bottle is way too small for me. This will be out in a week or so. Overall, I don't hate it like other brand foundations. I will try Clinique's other foundations next time I buy to compare.
