Cons

Best Uses

Comments about dpHUE Cool Blonde Shampoo:

I was looking for a vegan purple shampoo to tone my blonde/silver hair. I live a vegan and nontoxic lifestyle and this was the closest I could find! It is cruelty free and sulfate/ paraben free. I use it about once a week now to tone my hair. I leave it on for about 5 minutes in the shower and follow up with my Young Living lavender mint shampoo. The only con is that it is extremely drying so I would recommend a hydrating conditioner afterwards.

I buy a cheaper product which wasn't in stock and this is the "to-go-to" bc it works. I get a bigger bottle for $20 at a salon.

Comments about dpHUE Cool Blonde Shampoo:

I have used sooooo many purple shampoos looking for one that would do the trick. This keeps my highlighted blonde hair very cool toned, just how it looks when I leave the salon. It does not lather at all, and it dries your hair out if you don't use a good conditioner, but what it does for keeping hair not brassy is worth it.

  • Moisturizes and softens

Cons

  • Doesn't Lather Well

Best Uses

  • Use 2-3x week or as needed.

Comments about dpHUE Cool Blonde Shampoo:

Squeeze a quarter size amount into your palm and lather in your hands before placing on your wet hair. This will allow you to spread the shampoo were farther because it does not lather well. This product is fantastic at knocking out brass.

Comments about dpHUE Cool Blonde Shampoo:

I have tried almost every quality purple shampoo and am always most impressed with this. Many leave my hair dull, but this most closely mimicks the toners used after a highlight. I use it about every four or more days and leave it in for a couple mins. Seriously great for blondes that go brassy fast!

Comments about dpHUE Cool Blonde Shampoo:

I am one of those bleach blondes who freaks out if I have a tint of yellow/ gold in my ashy locks. I've gotten used to toning my own hair in order to save the money and the time of going to the salon. I was sent a sample of this with my last Ulta.com order, and holy moly!!! I am IN LOVE!

This works as well as a toner, without the damage or the fuss of mixing with a developer. It's literally just a shampoo that you leave on for a couple minutes. What's best, is that my damaged blonde locks looked and felt WAYYYY more shiny, smooth, and healthy after using this and it's matching conditioner. They may be the magic pair, and I can't promise one will work as well without the other.

Is this product pricey? Yes. But it's like going into the salon to get an Olaplex treatment and a toner. WORTH EVERY PENNY AND MORE! Hands down!

This is great for blonde hair. It probably would do well on gray hair, too. It really takes out the yellow/brassiness that sometimes happens.

I have sort of an ombre/balayage. Natural color is light light brown up top and fake blonde from my ears down (it is blended really well) . If I wanted to get the bottom less brassy blonde but also add a little blonde to the top without getting it colored would this shampoo help or could I use the dphue blonde gloss?

                      Hello!
The Cool Blonde Shampoo and Conditioner are great options to remove the unwanted brassy tones!
Unfortunately, the only way to lighten the top is to color it.

I have some of this shampoo and the conditioner left over from when my hair was blonde. Am I still able to use this for my now brunette hair?

Yes! The violet tones will continue to cancel out unwanted yellow/orange tones, but will not alter darker pigments.
