Most Helpful Positive Review nice, thin liquid, easy to apply I've been testing out sun protection products recently (mineral formulas only) and out of the few I've tried (Juice Beauty Oil Free SPF 30, Juice Beauty Stem CEllular CC w SPF, Stila BB SPF 30), I favor this one.
I don't like thick products that are hard to spread all over my face and this one isn't. It is thin and blends well and is easy to get your hole face covered to get adequate sun protection.
The tint is barely noticable once applied, but does give very minor color correction. Not as much as a tinted moisturizer would though. The color works for me and I'm fair.
I dont notice much of a smell with this product.
I was looking for a better rating on EWG Skin Deep's website, but for a mineral sunscreen that I like I suppose this will do.
There is one other product I did like when I tested in the store, but was too expensive to end up purchasing... Perricone MD Photo Plasma SPF 30. This felt so lightweight on my hand when I applied. If it weren't for the hefty price tag i would have liked to try it. There wasn't an EWG rating for it either, which concerned me.
Most Helpful Critical Review Wanted to love it, but not for me. I really really wanted to like this product because I was looking for a new sunscreen to wear under my makeup. I read reviews saying that this does not leave a white cast, and also that it is mineral. It doesn't make it white, it does have a slight tint--kind of like the sheerest tinted moisturizer you could wear. That's fine, because I wear foundation over it. The smell is unpleasant, but I'm also sensitive to fragrances. It's very liquid-y, not thick at all and goes on well and sinks in. It's definitely NOT a matte finish on my combo skin. Weird smell aside, this just isn't working for me because I find it's really irritating to my sensitive skin--it stings whenever I apply it. I would recommend this to someone who doesn't have sensitive skin and doesn't mind products with strange smells.

I use this product as a foundation/SPF in one. Very light coverage, but just enough.
I'm torn about this 4

I'm torn about this sunscreen. It's accessible, relatively affordable, and doesn't break me out however the formula is kind of gritty. It's also a little chalky so I don't see this working on all skin tones.

I thought this was a great sunscreen especially if you're traveling someone that only suggests minerals. It does have a slight white cast and will sweat out white. Despite that it goes on really well, doesn't feel greasy or make you look shiny and does well in protection. Little pricey but worth it.
I really like this 5

I really like this product, it doesn't break me out and it absorbs very nice, so my skin doesn't look oily.

I wish I knew of this product so much earlier especially in my teenage years. It gives a great flawless look and prefect for days when I do not want to wear foundation. It doesn't feel heavy and it gives you sun protection

This product is a sunscreen that has a heavy white cast. It is an OK price. I always use sunscreen because it is the most important part of a skincare routine. But this one has a lot of SpPF protection which is good. This comes out as a liquid but it can pill and become dry.

I have mixed feelings about this SPF. Pros: works well as an SPF, no white cast. Cons: a bit surprising how dark it is which concerned me since I'm super pale, but didn't see any pigment once applied. So this product didn't fulfill any coverage in a tint that I was looking for, but if I use it as just a sunscreen then at least there's no off-putting white cast. I'm using the BareMinerals tinted gel moisturizer with SPF now so not really using this product but might turn to it for hiking or when my acne scars fade and I don't need coverage.
I will definitely repurchase 5

The best sunscreen on the market! 5

Highly recommend! I have been using this sunscreen for three years now and will continue for life! It was recommended by my NY dermatologist and I love the light tint. I don't need any foundation!
Chalky 4

Does leave a chalky hue on my skin (olive) and takes a while to absorb, but this is one of the better physical sunscreens I've used (and I've used many).

Gives your skin a dewy, clear look with no need for foundation.
Made me look ashy :( 2
Makayla from Orlando, FL
I received this as a sample in my recent order. I was excited to try it bc I've been wanting to switch over to using a mineral sunscreen for a while now. This sunscreen was a big disappointment. The consistency was fine. I also liked that it was fragrance free. It didn't make my skin feel too dry or too greasy but it made my skin look very dull and ashy. It got a bit better the more I rubbed it into my skin but if you have medium to deep skin tone I would definitely pass on this sunscreen.
SPF + moderate coverage & glow! 5
Kathleen from FL
The way this sunscreen applies, looks like light foundation and gives me a slight glow. It compliments my makeup routine so much! I did break out a few times when I first started using it, but I think that just means I need to wash my face more thoroughly at the end of each day - I previously didn't wear any liquid makeup, just moisturizer and powder. I'm still in my first 30 day trial run, so hoping my skin adapts because I've heard such great things about this sunscreen!
Too dark for me and irritated my skin 2
Bakersfield Betty from Bakersfield ca
I am high sensitive & it caused me irritation. I am light complected not fair but it was way to dark for me. I bought hoping to wear on days when I chose not to wear make-up.
Worst sunscreen ever! 1
Yoshi from San Diego, California
This sunscreen was definitely not made with people of color in mind! I'm NC37 and I was left with the worst whitecast ever. I literally looked like a ghost. The texture was chalky and paint like and it didn't wanna blend. My pores looked absolutely HORRID and flaky. Unless you've glass skin, STAY AWAY!
I wanted to loved it, but it's not for me 4
Betsy from San Diego
I really wanted to love this spf, I did liked the coverage, the smell and the presentation, but my skin felt greasy and I don't have oily skin, my skin is normal.
To the sun light my skin looked all greasy and shiny so what I did is to apply a little traslucid powder to make it more matte.
PROS: This is a... 4
katherkv from undisclosed
PROS: This is a mineral sunscreen containing 11% titanium dioxide which provides protection against UVA/UVB. The serum consistency gives it a lightweight feel on the skin that sometimes I forget I'm wearing anything on my face, and moisturizes the skin nicely. It has a nice tint that is best suited for light-medium skin tones. There is no scent.
CONS: Due to the tint, this might be too dark/orange on light skin tones, and the titanium dioxide might pull more of a white cast on darker skin tones. The product is rather liquid, so be sure to give it a good shake and apply carefully to avoid it dripping everywhere.

A bit too dark for my pale skin so that it makes me look orange. I have found that mixing it in with my normal foundation works well. A little disappointed considering the price and it leaves my skin looking greasy.

This is one of the first tinted sunscreens that I felt like dried matte for my oily skin. One of my go to daily sunscreens.

This sunscreen is excellent. It's light and the tint is perfect. I'm 56 and sometimes I don't even have to put on foundation! It's the only sunscreen I love enough to use everyday.
Just perfect 5
SheilaS from Florida
It's light and feels great on my face. It has just a hint of color that warms without a full face of makeup. Love this!
