    Worst sunscreen

    By Sun tan

    from None

Comments about La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra-Light Sunscreen Fluid SPF 50:

I got this thinking it would be a great sunscreen because of the online reviews. Well it was the worst sunscreen I've ever used on my face. It's soooo greasy and makes my face feel awful. It also has a terrible scent. Save your money and just buy neutrogena or something because this stuff was so bad...

I started a new job with a 30 minute commute one way. It wasn't long before I noticed dark spots. New foundation was darker than before.
I saw a write up for this in a magazine. I use it everyday under foundation or alone if rushed. I went to buy some new foundation and was a shade lighter !!! I'm very happy and so is my skin.

It has a weird smell and it leaves a white cast on my face, but both of those fade quickly. It doesn't bother my skin at all otherwise, and it doesn't make me feel sticky or greasy. It'll do but I'm still on the hunt for something better!

Comments about La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra-Light Sunscreen Fluid SPF 50:

I've used this for years, and yes they changed the formula and yes it is grainy now. I thought at first it was due to the heat of summer and maybe the formula was separating in storage everywhere due to that, but it has persisted through the winter with bottles made more recently. I've bought bottles from physical stores and online in the past few months and they are all grainy. It is harder grains, not grains that dissolve or dissapate when you rub it on your skin. My skin goes red when I rub it on, which is terrible because I can't use anywhere near as much as I should be using on my skin. I was able to get a refund by writing to LRP but now I have to hunt for a new sunscreen that won't irritate my skin. Bummer. If you can get past the grainyness, this is the best. It never irritated my very sensitive skin before, but now I wind up red after applying a small amount.

Comments about La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra-Light Sunscreen Fluid SPF 50:

I love this brand for sunscreen, but this formula did not work for me. The first time I wore it I was outside on a scavenger hunt for about two hours. Once I started sweating this formula turned white on my skin and when I rubbed my face, I had white flakes everywhere. I exchanged it for another formula and it works a lot better. While I would not recommend this formula, I would recommend this brand.

Comments about La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra-Light Sunscreen Fluid SPF 50:

I have used this sunscreen daily for years(5+). The last bottle I used was very gritty. This happened once before; I returned the product and the next one was fine. I didn't take time to return this last bottle. When I was about to order more, I saw that many people had complained about grittiness. I decided to try another brand. So disappointed, I hope there will be a return an earlier formula, because I loved this product--no white streaks, absorbed well and no new sun damage...

I just bought this product last week and used it for the first time today. It was not grainy at all. It was smooth and rubbed in smoothly as well. I have tan skin and it has a slight white cast at first, but that disappears within 30 minutes or so. This is my first impression and I do not have any new clogged pores after wearing i for 6 hours. I wore this on top of my regular moisturizer. I am pleased with this product.

Really good at leaving no white cast and not greasy at all. Just could not get past the fact it did feel like scrub?! I have really light skin, so it would be red by the time I rubbed in all the little grains. I'll try the tinted version.

Comments about La Roche-Posay Anthelios 50 Mineral Ultra-Light Sunscreen Fluid SPF 50:

I purchased this sunscreen after the previous La Roche-Posay formula I used expired. I really enjoyed the other sunscreen; it applied smoothly and did not turn white on my skin. This formula is the complete opposite. It is very gritty when applying and no matter how lightly I try to apply, it is hard to blend in. Also, if I am outside and sweating this formula flakes up and turns white on my skin. I will have to return this one.
