Most Helpful Positive Review nice, thin liquid, easy to apply
I've been testing out sun protection products recently (mineral formulas only) and out of the few I've tried (Juice Beauty Oil Free SPF 30, Juice Beauty Stem CEllular CC w SPF, Stila BB SPF 30), I favor this one.
I don't like thick products that are hard to spread all over my face and this one isn't. It is thin and blends well and is easy to get your hole face covered to get adequate sun protection.
The tint is barely noticable once applied, but does give very minor color correction. Not as much as a tinted moisturizer would though. The color works for me and I'm fair.
I dont notice much of a smell with this product.
I was looking for a better rating on EWG Skin Deep's website, but for a mineral sunscreen that I like I suppose this will do.
There is one other product I did like when I tested in the store, but was too expensive to end up purchasing... Perricone MD Photo Plasma SPF 30. This felt so lightweight on my hand when I applied. If it weren't for the hefty price tag i would have liked to try it. There wasn't an EWG rating for it either, which concerned me.
Most Helpful Critical Review Wanted to love it, but not for me.
I really really wanted to like this product because I was looking for a new sunscreen to wear under my makeup. I read reviews saying that this does not leave a white cast, and also that it is mineral. It doesn't make it white, it does have a slight tint--kind of like the sheerest tinted moisturizer you could wear. That's fine, because I wear foundation over it. The smell is unpleasant, but I'm also sensitive to fragrances. It's very liquid-y, not thick at all and goes on well and sinks in. It's definitely NOT a matte finish on my combo skin. Weird smell aside, this just isn't working for me because I find it's really irritating to my sensitive skin--it stings whenever I apply it. I would recommend this to someone who doesn't have sensitive skin and doesn't mind products with strange smells.

It really does give a matte finish and coverage. I love it! I have oily skin and break out a lot but this controls my shine and hasn't caused any break outs.

i don't know how to feel about this product. it's a fluid but it's still very easy to get a white cast. it latches into dry patches. and it's awkwardly greasy. like more than any sunscreen i ever tried. i feel like i slathered oil on myself. and it stings my eyes real bad. can't say it's worth the price, unfortunately.
A light tint in a facial sunblock
anonymous from South Carolina
I like that the tint in the sun block is not greasy or shiny. It is a great way to have a bit of color on your face without putting on makeup, especially in the hot weather. I just wish the tube were bigger because I am using it almost everyday.

I just love this SPF. It has a tint to cover up that nasty white cast. I just sinks into skin so you don't feel it heavy.

I very much like this product and it blends into my face perfectly!
Good for fair skin
Evuwym from Charlotte, NC
I'm fair with neutral undertones and some sun damage, so I have redness all over my face. This sunscreen evens out my skintone, and even though it's darker than my skin, it blends in seamlessly and doesn't become orange over time or anything like that. I have very dry skin and need to wear moisturizer under it, but that might not be necessary for someone with more oily skin.

I really like this sunscreen. The tint is just right for my skin tone and I don't need foundation. It gives it a healthy glow.
Mineral sunscreen is not for me
anonymous from Chicago
I am a fan of LRP products, and specifically sunscreens. I purchased this thinking it was better for me than it's non-mineral alternative. For my skin, the difference was remarkable. The non-mineral ultra light formula is perfect and "plays well" with all of my other products. So, I finished this bottle and switched back.
For me, this didn't absorb quickly at all and left a noticeable white/lavender hue on my skin (and I'm pale).

I LOVE this sunscreen. Doesn't irritate my sensitive skin...but it is NOT matte! After it sets, it becomes extremely dewy. Great if you're going to the beach. Everywhere else, not so great.
The one for me

The lightest and most natural tinted face cream I know. Perfect for California
expected more of the product

I've been looking for a sunscreen tinted for a long time to have a good effect on my skin without leaving it oily.
It was disappointment because it is very oily.
I don't recommend it for anyone who has oily skin with acne. I follow the search for a colorful sunscreen that does not leave my skin more oily.
Love this light sunscreem
Marcela V from San Diego
Love how light it is and also very effective, wont clog my pores I've been using it long time ago!
Didn't love. Returning.

This made my primer ball up and so I'm returning it. It may be a good sunscreen on its own, though.
I might buy this product again

I wish it was less watery - thicker, like a moisturizer. Have to thoroughly shake it before using.

I really liked this sunscreen but it did break me out and give me kind of a rash but i do have pretty sensitive skin so if u also have sensitive skin i would try a different sunscreen
Recommend by my dermatologist
Ponygirl from CA
I was given a sample of this from my dermatologist after a Mois surgery. She highly recommended it. Upon using it, I understood why. It goes on thin, so you don't need a lot to cover your face and neck. It dries quickly. I can't speak to how well it works with makeup because I don't use any, but I'm sure other reviewers have. It seems to keep my face and neck free of sunburn and I don't have any type of skin issues with it.
Really bad white cast
Fuzzy from Spokane, WA
I got this as a sample and was so excited to try this sunscreen due to all the great reviews. I was so disappointed, it leaves a horrible white cast and doesn't apply very well. Applying if is a nightmare and it kept pilling. The only positive to this product is that it kept my oily skin matte. I will not be using this in the future.

I love this product. I have been using it for 2 years. I wear it every day.
Paus from Asheville
I have used the tinted version of this sunscreen for about 8 years. I use it alone and under makeup. The untinted version made me look weird in photos. This tinted does not do that. Love the matte finish. I am 70, and I get compliments all the time on my skin. Worth every penny. I don't wear a lot of makeup, and this is one of two products I wear everyday.

I'm obsessed! Love that it's lightweight with a tint and it dries matted. During the summer I've used this alone instead of light foundation.
Good choice for Sunscreen

Doctor recommended this. It was more costly than what I used in past, but worth it.
Not for really sensitive skin
ThriftyMe from Philadelphia, PA
I like LaRoche posay products and they are recommended by my dermatologist. However, this sunscreen made my skin burn and turn red, so if you are truly sensitive, be cautious. Otherwise, I'd recommend because it has a nice texture.
IF YOU ARE DARK IT'S A NO
not worth the price from Mountain Home , AR
It drys really werid and I thought the white cast would go away after it dried. WRONG ! It looks like I've been rolling around in flour and I'm not even that tan.
