How to Use

1. Use every morning and evening.
2. Apply a dime-size amount to damp skin and gently massage, avoiding the eye area.
3. Rinse well.
4. Use wash on entire affected area one to two times daily.
5. Because excess drying of the skin may occur, start with one application daily, then gradually increase two times daily if needed or as directed by a doctor.
6. If bothersome dryness or peeling occurs, reduce application to once a day or every other day.
7. If going outside, apply sunscreen after using this product. If irritation or sensitivity develops. stop use of both products and ask a doctor.

I'll get the occasional breakout, but nothing more than that. What I DO have problems with are clogged pores & sebum on my nose and chin area, causing some major skin congestion and creating uncomfortable little bumps. I was going to try the CeraVe SA cleanser, but considering that salicylic acid is an exfoliant, I decided to go with this. After using it for the first time during my nighttime routine, I woke up the next day to clear, smooth skin!! My pores even appeared smaller bc of all the gunk it managed to get rid of and I literally did not have any more congestion! But here's the catch.. benzoyl peroxide can be a little drying to the skin no matter what skin type you are (yes, even you normal to oily skin peeps). Although this did not make my face feel completely stripped of moisture nor did it disrupt my protective skin barrier, I still made sure to use the CeraVe hydrating facial cleanser after then followed up with an extremely thick, hydrating moisturizer (the tatcha dewy skin cream to be exact) after I applied my serums. So, as long as you are taking the precautions to keep your skin hydrated after you use it (aka using hyaluronic acid based products), you should not experience any dryness to your skin. I'd definitely recommend using this only once a day at night bc 1. it works good enough to use only once a day and still be really effective, and 2. you can pack alllll that moisture on your face and sleep in it to ensure ultimate hydration!Most Helpful Critical ReviewDo Not Buy If Skin Is Sensitive/Acne ProneI love Cerave and their brand actually comprises 95% of my skin care routine and I clearly have to love their products. However, THIS IS HORRIBLE. Or at least it was for my skin. I used this product for a week before I couldn't take it anymore. I bought this product to prevent or stop my acne but it made it 10x worse. I had giant cystic acne while using this product. My face had maybe 2 small pimples on it when I started use and within the first night 4 swollen and painful pus filled cysts popped up on my face. And I have never had that bad of a breakout before. However, the most unbearable part was the fact that my lips dried out overnight. I mean to the point they bled. And it's not like I was washing my lips with this stuff. I always have carmex on my lips and they are nice and moisturized is for them to dry out that bad overnight has to have been from the wash. Overall I do not recommend this product. However, everyone's skin is different.
