I recently bought a high-end peel/mask, and it was recommended to follow the mask with marula oil. Of course, that brand offers their own marula oil, but at seven times the price of this oil. With products like marula oil, you just need to see the ingredient listing to know what you're getting. I really appreciate that this brand is both fair and transparent with the ingredients of their products as well as their pricing. I was so impressed with this oil, that I have since bought other "The Ordinary" products and anticipate buying many more!
I was excited to try this as a dupe for the DE's marula oil. However I had a weird reaction to this one, as soon as I put it on at night it made my face itch. I thought it might be a reaction with the chemical exfoliant that I used (although I have never had a problem using one and with any of the other oils from the ordinary) so I tried it for a few more days. It made my eyes and my entire face itch every time regardless of which products I used with this. I even tried to use it on the rest of my body and it still made my skin itch wherever I used it. I have tried almost every other oil from The Ordinary and none of them have done this. I tried to look up reasons as to why this might be, and I only found people who were allergic to tree nuts that had bad reactions with marula oil. However I have no allergies and I don't consider myself to even have sensitive skin.

i have autoimmune issues that make it very hard to feel properly hydrated, and it shows A LOT on my skin, especially my face. i used to use the drunk elephant marula oil and it worked miracles for my extremely dry skin, but i stopped getting it because i couldn't afford it. i'm so glad i stumbled upon this and gave it a try because it has seriously made all the difference and there has been major improvement. remember to always apply face oils AFTER moisturizer!!!

I've bought the drunk elephant marula oil two times before this one and I got tired of overpaying and I can't believe how amazing this is for the price! My skin is hydrated and soft and it absorbs really well. I feel like the drunk elephant marula oil was too heavy and this one is perfect

I love this oil! It's perfect for adding hydration to the skin. I use it overnight and by the morning it has soaked in. It's a great dupe for the DE Marula Oil like others have said!

I love this company and have been wanting to try marula oil to add to the other 4 things i consistently buy, this is a definate repurchase...smooth, scentless and colourless it glides on the skin making it look lovely.Hands, nails, skin and hair can all benefit! Also its vegan cruelty free and gluten free...60% more antioxidant level than Argan oil(without that strong odour!) I do mix with the Ordinary rose hip, and look forward to it day and night.

This maybe TMI for some but for the ladies that have PCOS and other hormonal imbalances, they will understand. I have to shave my chin every day and it used to get so dry and irritated but this has saved my skin! I've been using it for a about a year and it has been the only thing that has ever helped me. I just put one drop in my hand and then rub it in and let it absorb before I put my makeup on (And yes I've tried laser hair removal and waxing doesn't work when you pretty much have a mans goatee ok) I also put a drop or two in my hair. It makes it so silky!

Over the winter my skin became very dry so I started looking into face oils. I have used the ordinary products before and thought I'd try this oil. I do not have sensitive skin so I usually don't have to take caution with new products. I don't know if I'm allergic to something in the oil or if it's just to heavy for my skin but it immediately made me break out, tiny bumps all over my face and neck and big pimples.

I started using this product and maybe 1-2 weeks later noticed my skin was getting back to how it was:( I broke out all over my cheeks and forehead and I'm so sad my skin was finally getting better :( I loved their serums, face lotion and peeling mask but this a no for me

It's a great oil and I add it to any and every serum or cream or moisturizer I use. It's great for added hydration and so affordable!

My face gets very dry in the winter and this helped a lot and doesn't seem to clog my pores and it smells really good and I would buy it again and I recommend to anyone with a really dry face especially during the winter season I will continue to use in the summer because my face usually peels after it gets burned and I think this would help it

I purchased this because I fell in LOVE with the Drunk Elephant Marula Oil and heard these were basically similar with a steep price difference. They are similar, but you can definitely tell this one is on the 'cheaper' side. I feel like this doesn't absorb as much into your skin as the DE does, but it is just as moisturizing. A little bit does go a long way, so this bottle will definitely last you a good bit.

This helps so much with acne scars and makes your skin so smooth. I usually apply this before my moisturizer and it works AMAZING! Especially if you use an exfoliant before this product

Got this to help with my dry skin after stopping my HRT. I usually mix a couple of drops of this marula oil in my moisturizer morning and night; sometimes I add about 5 drops to my hand and apply after my Vitamin C serum. The oil absorbs well and has really helped the dry spots disappear. My skin is quite sensitive; so far, I've had no problems with this oil. I've read that it's very good for skin and helps clear it.

I was going to buy the squalene oil but bought this instead, and I don't regret it! I like to use it mostly at night but sometimes during the day when I feel a little dryer. I also use it after chemical exfoliators and vitamin c suspension. It absorbs relatively quickly which is nice!

I got it for my skin, but it was definitely a lot thicker than I had envisioned, so I put it on my hair instead. It makes my hair SO soft & shiny. It doesn't have any smell either, which is a plus.

This is a cheaper alternative to some much more expensive brands. It feels amazing on my skin and works wonderfully mixed with my bronzing serum. I highly recommend this over other facial oils. It might not be great for oily skin, but for my combo skin it is perfect.

I really like this. I didn't like the ordinary's squalene oil but this one is nicer. Feels a bit more thicker. A bit more like the Rose Hip and Squalene Bissance oil. I will be buying this again. I am about halfway through the bottle. I use it in the morning after I wash my face and before I apply my makeup.

I have combo/mostly dry skin. This stuff seems incredibly similar to the Josie Maran pure argan oil. I use it all over, it's great on lips or mixed with Tarte Shape Tape (which is drying). My husband even steals it.

I added frankincense drops to this oil. together it makes a wonderful anti-aging anti-wrinkle oil. I love to use it at night for extra hydration and sometimes a drop with my Foundation when my skin is very dry.
Ama from Oregon
So far I'm liking this oil. Goes on easily and soaks in without a greasy feel. Works great after chemical exfoliation to sooth skin.

I have combination/acne prone skin... slightly on the sensitive side but can get oily if I use the wrong kind of products. My skin loves this oil... At first it didn't feel moisturizing enough but I started to add in the vitamin C serum from them and put them on together at the same time. Eventually my skin seemed to just start producing a more balanced oil production on its own... so this seemed to actually help balance my skin and now it feels plenty moisturizing and quite lovely actually. I'm very sensitive and if it was a cheaply made product my skin would react; but I haven't. I'm very happy and would recommend giving this a try to basically anyone with skin.

I've been using this on my face and it makes me glow!! I have combination skin (oily in my T zone) and I have acne prone skin. I use this and my skin soaks it up over night. It never makes me break out & it makes my skin look amazing. My boyfriend also uses this on his scalp & he is obsessed also. When he used to cut his hair, he would have a lot of dandruff/flakes. I got him to start using this after washing his hair& he no longer has dandruff! It's a great price & works amazingly

I love this oil! It works better than Fourth Ray Beauty (Colourpop brand) marula oil. I can definitely feel the hydration when I massage it into my face after I shower. I only need a little bit too, maybe 1/4 of the dropper.
