Most Helpful Positive Review Holy Grail!
I have oily lids, so finding an eyeliner that'll stay put was a real challenge. When I went into Ulta I was at my breaking point, ready to give up on eyeliners and join a convent or something. I told an employee my problem and she led me to the UD 24/7 pencil. I had already tried the pencil and wasn't all that satisfied. I asked what she recommended for the upper lash line, and she handed me this eyeliner. It was my first high end product and I was nervous about spending that much money on eyeliner, but I was desperate for a solution so I bought it.
Flash forward seven months, and this is hands down my go-to eyeliner. Application is easy, and its easy to fix mistakes since it doesn't dry instantly. But when it does dry, it stays on for a good portion of the day (again, I have oily lids so there are days when it'll fade away). I usually use this to tighten my lashes, and for my purpose it does the job just fine. When I apply it on my actual lid, it does just as fine. It can fade as the day goes on, but if it bothers you, just go over your line once more.
I couldn't recommend this eyeliner enough! Whether you have oily lids or not, this is definitely worth a try!
Most Helpful Critical Review Good Eyeliner Formula, Bad Eyeliner Tip
I looked into purchasing this eyeliner for a long time, mainly because it is on the pricier side. I didn't want to waste my money, but this product was recommended to me by several people, so I finally bought it. I was excited to try it out, and for its first couple of uses, it worked well. The formula is great. It is opaque and easy to remove, although I've found it really isn't waterproof. Unfortunately, very soon after I began using it, the tip would run dry before I was able to finish my eyeliner. This was incredibly frustrating, and it has been a problem since I first began using the product. I did some research and this seems to be a reoccurring issue some people are having with this eyeliner. I think that at this price, this product should function much better than the way it does now.

I really like the formula, it seems to stay all day and the dark brown color is lovely. However, the term "liquid" is somewhat misleading. The applicator is a marker, not a paintbrush, so it doesn't apply smoothly. I was definitely disappointed, especially after seeing the high rating and knowing Stila's high-quality rep.
Love !! Better than KVD
Jenny B from Los Angeles, CA
I went from Kat von D to this one and the first week I was sad and told myself okay I'm getting KVD again ... but omg give it time. This has lasted me sooooooo much longer and doesn't dry out as fast. I work 12 hour night shifts and I come home and my eyeliner looks the same as when I left! I will say tho that this one is not nearly as waterproof as the KVD one, but it still partially is waterproof. Overall I reccomend this one over KVD because of how long it's lasted and how easy it is so apply.
cg from illinois
this is the best eyeliner!!!! it glides on so easily and is very simple to apply.
This ain't it sis...

I asked the Ulta worker what was a good dupe for the Kat Von D tattoo liner... THIS AINT IT SIS. Lol also this is felt not brush... I ASKED for a MATTE black liner and this stuff is weirdly shiny... and it randomly dried up on me... I BOUGHT THIS IN AUGUST... since Kat is no longer involved with KVD and it's at Ulta I'm going to buy more tomorrow.
Nope. No. Never.
Tam from CA
Purchased this right after the Kat Von D Tattoo Liquid Eyeliner and oh boy was it a huge downgrade. I wholeheartedly expected so much better from a brand like Stila. The ink doesn't come smoothly or consistently and when you go back to fix the lines, the tip smudges the liner. Yeah it doesn't budge after application which is unfortunate because upon applying I instantly regret it and day dream about the Kat Von D eyeliner days - it's MUCH more pigmented, and smooth however not waterproof. You're better off getting the Wet N Wild Breakup Proof Liquid Eyeliner at a drug store.
Good but dries out fast
Noelle.Rose from Somewhere
I loooove this liquid eyeliner, it stays on all day and I've had no real issues with it. BUT the one big issue is that the tip dries out soooooo fast. It's quite irritating and makes the wing look kinda messy when it dries out like that. Long story short: it's nice but I don't think I'll buy it again since it dries out so fast..
Crybaby2000 from Hemet CA
If your like me and your someone that cry's a lot especially for no reason this one is amazing I did a full on wing today and I've been crying for a couple minutes now and my liner still look flawless. The only reason I give it a 4 is because it's not a SUPER DARK BLACK.
Would not Buy again
anflo from CA
Used for basic eyeliner but did not use everyday. After a few weeks, the tip dried out. It is impossible to make a nice wing without the tip so the rest is useless to me. Can only make a wing on one eye then the tip dries out and I can promise you I don't even use a lot on the first eye.
Bri from Colorado, CO
Loved the eyeliner at first. Loved the tip and the formula. Stayed on great no smudging or flaking and didn't transfer to my eyelid from blinking. However after a few days, it literally dried up like a marker that was left out. Mind you I ALWAYS make sure I close my eyeliners and I am really careful how I store and handle them because eyeliner is the one make up product I wear. Really disappointed, felt like I wasted money.

I just tried out Mac to see if it was better. I have to say i would never by Mac liquid liner again. Stila is my go to. I put it on and it stays on ALL DAY. I don't have to keep checking up on my makeup
y from CA
It works like a drugstore eyeliner tbh. It's not even completely black unless I put on a few layers.
Marsha from NC
Product states all-day wear and waterproof. It came off with not much help while wearing over shadow.
Smudges and Wears Off Oily Skin
ARocky from Gilbert, AZ
This didn't hold up to my oily skin. It smudged, transferred to my upper eyelid, and wore off throughout the day. I purchased this at the recommendation of a worker at Ulta while searching for an eyeliner that holds up to oily skin. I have yet to discover a pen style applicator eyeliner with a formuIa that holds up to oily skin. I also had seen other positive reviews for the product. I ended up returning and ultimately started using Lancome Artliner which passed the oily skin all-day test.
Best liquid liner to date
Mc Tiff✨ from Fort Worth texas
I have yet to find a suitable dupe for this. It's simply the best on the market that I've discovered.
But again for sure
Mickeymouse from South Florida
So easy to apply and excellent coverage. Smooth lining even on wrinkled upper eye lid
Love this Stila product!
Marcy from Michigan
I will not use any other product but my Stila liquid eyeliner....goes on very smooth...have used this for a couple of years....sometimes it is out of stock because it is so popular!
I've tried so many liquid eyeliners, this is by far the best
LadyDi from NYC Metro Area
i have tried so many brands of liquid eyeliner, but Stila is the best! Yes, its pricey, but it is truly worth it.
A fave for years
Kate from California
Easy to use felt tip liner. I love how quickly I can create a clean, even winged liner look with this product.
Good, Not completely satisfied
Indian Beauty Addict from Morris Plains, NJ
This is super black and wears well, but I wanted it to be more smudge-proof and water-proof. My main issue is with how easily this dries out and the mediocre tip. I prefer KVD over this.
Yes, I use to get same product and they were dryed up
Judy from Idhao falls, idaho
This is a wonderful product as long as it's not dried up when you buy it
I am loyal to this eyeliner
Kayfawn04 from Kentucky
This is my second purchase of this eyeliner. My skin is oily, and my eyes are hooded and squinty, therefore most eyeliners don't last very long. This eyeliner does incredibly well
Yessica from Houston tx
The best one
Just okay, not worth the hype
Rebecca from NJ
Not a bad eyeliner but also not the best I've used. The formula is nice, very pigmented, but the felt tip tries out quickly and starts to come apart (if it had a brush tip I would probably like a lot more). Overall, just okay.
I hated this
Em from Pensacola, FL
This always tugs my eyelid skin and dries way too quickly. I rather much stick to liquid liner where it's easier to apply. Does last a while on skin that's for sure. Pen dries way too quick
Best liquid eyeliner that exists!
Meg from San Mateo, CALIFORNIA
This is a great liquid eyeliner to create the perfect "winged look". I was using the "Benefit liquid eyeliner " and that one doesn't compare to this one! It's not as smooth and doesn't last long. I wouldn't think about it.. def get it!
