Drying Basics: Shampoo and condition hair with products of your choice. Rinse thoroughly. Towel-blot hair to remove excess moisture. Section hair. Using the dryer along with your styling brush, direct hot air through a section of hair at a time. Move dryer steadily across each section so that the hot air passes through hair. Direct airflow at hair, not scalp. Keep dryer's air intake vents unobstructed and free from hair while drying. To avoid over drying and possible damage to hair or skin, do not concentrate heat on one section for any length of time. Keep dryer moving as you style. For quick touch-ups between shampoos, dampen hair with a mist of water before styling with a dryer. When using your dryer to create curls and waves, dry hair almost completely on a warmer temperature setting, then finish styling with cooler air. This dryer includes concentrator attachments. Use the attachments when you need drying power in a small area (such as a curl or a wave), or when you want to relax curly hair.
For body and volume - To create extra volume, turn head upside down while drying. Position the airflow toward the roots for maximum lift. When hair is dry, tows head back gently and brush hair into place.
Straightening - Work with hair in sections when creating a super-straight look. Using a large round brush (approximately 2" in diameter), hold hair taut in each section and bend ends slightly under as you dry.
Making waves - Tousled, natural-looking waves are easily created by grasping hair at the roots and scrunching between fingertips while drying.

Does this drier still have a hot shot button instead of a cold shot? That was a feature I appreciated on the one I used to have and can't seem to find on any other drier.

How come product packaging looks completely different from the supposed packaging as displayed online (old packaging is fitted and has red flap on right side + looks high quality version of box vs packaging at ulta store was plain with dryer & accessories tossed inside in thin foam wrap paper)? Also, dryers missing serial numbers as on original Volare v1, and also have black cords instead of red power cords on the red version? I'm confused as to how or why this is happening and it almost appears like Ulta is selling knockoffs in stores?

- Verified ReplyUlta does not sell knockoffs, the units are directly from BaBylissPRO. We also went through a packaging change throughout our brand to have a more universal packaging with all of our dryers. The units themselves are also the same, they are packaged in the foam bag for protection instead of laying inside a tray but either way they are sitting on shelf the same as they were in the previous packaging. Websites that show the old boxes just have yet to update their photos (apologies for that). Also, the cord color is black as the cord is just a component to the dryer so going forward we did switch to black cords, again to keep up our brand standard across all dryer units. The housing and everything inside the dryer is exactly the same and has not/will not change - so performance is still the same including the Ferrari Designed Engine inside. Hello, I got my hairdryer and it was packaged very oddly. It was literally just the blow dryer in the box, no packaging, no wrap, no ties. Is this normal? It seems as though it should contain some kind of packaging in the box? Did anyone else receive the hair dyer this way? I'm thinking of exchanging it for this reason. I'm guessing someone may have returned it and it's not new? Please let me know if other's received their hair dryer this way.

Fast! I love it! It was very fast to dry my hair. I didn't think it was loud or heavy. It styled my hair beautifully. It's fast and it did not damaged my hair at all. The hairstylist that cuts my hair also loves this particular model of babyliss hairdryer, he recommended it, he said he's had his volare for years. I just received mine, so mine is brand new, but so far I love it and I would 100% buy it again based on how fast it is.

Works great until it dies
I bought this in June 2020. It just died in December 2023. It was a fantastic dryer but for a "ferrarri engine" and at this price point I expect it to at least outlast the drugstore dryer I bought in high school. But it didn't. Really disappointed.
