Hair Type Very Curly Hair
I really wanted to like this, but its a no for me. I purchased this after being introduced to other Innersense products at my (Curly Hair) salon. I currently use their shampoo, conditioner, and a hydrating hair mask, so I was excited to try this. My hair is slightly below chin length (when straightened), a combo of type 3/4 Curls, color treated, with a tendency to be dry with low porosity. First impression- this scrub is thicker than a jar of body scrub, or homemade toothpaste and the exfoliant (presumably majority salt) is a mix of fine but mostly coarse grains. It has a bright and refreshing peppermint fragrance and a lovely cooling sensation. I believe if you can scrub your scalp with it, it will slightly foam/later. I had a really difficult time applying this and actually scrubbing/massaging my scalp with it, it was incredibly drying and tangled my hair. It was hard to scrape from the jar and I found myself sweeping the floor of my bathroom after use – the coarse salt fell from my hair and hands when trying this. If you live in a snowy area, you know how salt used on the sidewalk or driveway can end up in your home in the winter. That is how I felt cleaning up after wash day. I powered through the jar trying to find better ways to apply it and was unsuccessful. It did leave my scalp clean, but my hair was SUPER dry. Some elements are great, but in the end it was too drying and way too messy for me.

After using this scrub, i felt my hair instantly become softer. My scalp does feel better without the itchiness and dandruff. I do have an oily scalp so i am going to see how well it absorbed for the next couple of days. Plus it is fragrance free, its only essential oils that give it its smell. So far 10/10.

Hair Type Very Curly Hair
I love and only use Innersense products. Great for my curly hair. This scrub is a game changer even if you don't have scalp issues. It is just a lovely clarifying tingley scalp treat. And Ulta's price is always the best for this product line.

I used this product as part of my new "clean product" routine. Used it after 3 days of daily rinsing but not shampooing my hair and using sea salt spray for texture and oil absorption. It feels great, a little goes a long way so I feel better about the price. I've used a popular charcoal scrub from another clean brand and like the grit, ingredients, and overall feel better of Innersense. Note: the peppermint oil is very prominent but the scent didn't linger, I followed it with a deep conditioning mask.
