The original (dark gray can) , also has time release fragrance to leave your hair smelling fresh throughout the day. ACDS has a few additional benefits. It has oil control for the scalp, shine as well as manageability. The fragrance is lighter. Best application is to shake can and section hair. Spray approximately six inches from scalp. I use this dry shampoo every day that I don't wash it and it saves my hair for the day. I have naturally oily hair so it gets greasy within a day or so. There no white residue which is great for dark haired girls. I received this product complimentary from living proof.
