super curls!
A good friend of mine who is also a hair stylist recommended this product to me because I would take the time to curl my hair and within 2 hours the curls are literally gone. She gave me some advice on how to use it and voila! first use and my curls stuck from morning to night, even the next day wh...

Not for Blow Outs, altho Ulta Salon recommended
I want to use hot rollers to set my naturally CURLY locks after blowing it out. I was looking for something to protect my hair from both blow dryer heat, AND hot roller heat. And THIS STICKY, ICKY PRODUCT was recommended by one of the women in the Salon--that's what they use. If this is what the...

I love this product!!
Not Awesome, Returned It
Hair Type Straight Hair
I bought this because I historically only have been using heat protectant when I curl my hair, which means the curls don't last. I tried this product, and can tell you the negative reviews are correct. I found this spray extremely sticky, so yes if you ARE going to spray it directly in your hair, do it from a distance. (Or else you'll get a really sticky gross hard spot where the spray landed that feels like hair spray.) However, I felt like even that was not great in practice, so I sprayed it directly onto a hair brush and brushed it through each section before I curled. This added time and effort to the process, plus it made me have to deep clean my brush after. I think the product made my hair look darker in color and dirty/greasy. Some of the curls did seem like they held better than normal but some didn't. I didn't care for the smell at all and didn't love that I had to spray every section before curling - it made me feel like I was breathing in a lot of junk. I have to be careful about that, so this was a no from me. I went back to the store and exchanged this for a mousse by a different brand.
Too sticky
Not a fan of this product. It leaves my hair sticky and it gets tangled.
Dry & Frizzy
My hair was sooooo dry after I used this product for the first time. I will be returning it. I saw a review on youtube testing the heat protection. It definitely does that but it just ruined the texture of my hair. (For reference I have thick long straight/wavy hair)
NO!
I use to absolutely love this product using it with the curling iron, however they changed the formula years ago and it is TERRIBLE!!! Why? Why did they change the ingredients and mess a GREAT product up!!!??😢🤷♀️

Curly hair here. Before or after I apply my gel? Should it be my first step before gel or last step after gel (before I start drying)
- Asked by Shelley Cara
- Official Answer By Redken - BEHi there! For the best results and optimum heat protection, we recommend applying your hair gel first to damp hair before blow-drying. Redken Thermal Spray High Hold is designed to be used on dry hair just before heat-styling with a curling iron or flat iron (protecting up to 450°F and locking in your style). Here is the ideal routine for your curls: Apply Gel (Damp Hair): Apply your hair gel evenly to damp hair to build your curl structure and definition. Dry Your Hair: Blow-dry or diffuse your hair until it is completely dry. Spray Thermal Spray (Dry Hair): Section your dry hair and spray Thermal Spray High Hold directly on each section right before applying your hot iron to set your curls and protect against heat. Note: The only time you should apply Thermal Spray High Hold to damp hair is if you are setting your hair with traditional wet rollers before sitting under a dryer! Was this answer helpful to you

What is the best way to keep the pump from clogging on the thermal spray? I have so many problems with not being able to use it.
- Asked by Ktcasta
- Official Answer By Redken - BEHi there! Thank you for reaching out about our Thermal Spray High Hold. That is a great question! Because our Thermal Spray High Hold is a professional-grade formula designed for maximum 450°F heat protection and long-lasting styling, it contains resins that can sometimes dry at the tip of the pump. To keep your pump working smoothly, we recommend: The "Warm Water Rinse": After each use, or at the first sign of a clog, simply unscrew the pump and run the nozzle under warm running water for about 30 seconds. This will dissolve any dried product and clear the way for your next spray. Dry and Recap: Ensure you wipe the nozzle dry and always replace the cap after use to prevent air from drying out the product inside the tip. The "Clearing Spray": If you find the spray becoming more of a stream, try giving the pump a few quick, firm presses over a sink to clear the internal mechanism. Your feedback on the pump performance is incredibly important to the Redken team as we continue to refine our high-performance packaging. We hope this helps you get that perfect "pop" of heat protection every time! Was this answer helpful to you

Should I use this product on damp hair before blow drying and on dry hair before flat ironing?
- Asked by Jesse
- Official Answer By Redken - BEHi there! Thank you for reaching out about our Thermal Spray High Hold. For our Thermal Spray High Hold, we recommend using it on dry hair before applying any heat with styling tools like flat irons or curling irons. This allows the heat-activated polymers to properly set and provide the best hold and protection. While it's generally best used on dry hair for flat ironing, for blow-drying, you would typically use a different type of heat protectant or styling product designed for damp hair. Our Thermal Spray High Hold is specifically formulated to create a barrier and lock in style when used on dry hair just before your heat styling tool. Was this answer helpful to you
