I've had this for a few weeks now and I really like it! It's way less messy than the balm and I love that I can just pump a few pumps into my hand instead of digging in a jar. It removes my eye makeup pretty well but i do have to admit i still have a little residue under my eyes from eye liner. I used this before I actually cleanse though so it works perfectly for me. I do have acne prone skin but this doesn't appear to break me out thankfully. Don't be scared of the liquidity of this, I just pump in into my cupped palm and rub my hands together then put on my dry face and I don't get it anywhere.
I used this product how it was recommend to use. Apply to dry skin with dry hands and massage all over face and eyes to remove makeup, and rinse. Well it works.. but my skin started breaking out EXTREMELY bad. I rarely get breakouts due to finding a skin care routine that works for my skin. After a week of using my skin was covered with breakouts!!! This was my first and LAST Clinique purchase.

I asked for an eye makeup remover and was given this. Eyes burned and blurred for a long time after applying it.

I enjoy this. I loved the Neutrogena oil cleanser but it has been discontinued I guess- I loved the price honestly.
This is nicer in formulation in that it rinses off easily and don't sud up in order to leave the skin, which I believe is helping to prevent drying of my skin. The neutrogena could be prone to leaving my skin drier than before.
I have not used this to solely take my makeup off, I always use Micellar water to remove my makeup, let my skin dry for a minute, then go in with this. I like to really massage my face for 1-2 minutes with this before rinsing and following up with a very gentle LRP cream cleanser.
It has not broken my skin out or causes and irritation.

I currently have this and the balm in my shower. For waterproof mascara and heavier makeup days, it takes me MANY pumps of the oil to break it all down (and when I say heavier makeup I mean I wore concealer under my eyes and set it with powder lol, not anything too crazy!) I wouid highly recommend the balm as opposed to the oil if you want the product to last longer/not run out of your hand as you bring it to your face. Without my makeup eraser cloth, I would be scrubbing at my face for even longer.

I returned this because it made me break out with cystic acne. This was my attempt at a double cleansing method but I'm going to stick to micellar water with a cream cleanser.

This does get makeup off fairly easy, but I did have some trouble getting glue off my eyelash line from wearing fake eyelashes. My biggest complaint of all is that after I use this product, it makes my eyes feel heavy and tired.

This works well for removing make up. Other products do not seem to do as good a job at removing all of the eye make up I am wearing. I would prefer to spend less but not have found a drug store product that works as well.

I use one-two pumps of this first and then follow up with Cliniques facial soap. I have oily skin and this just takes it away without drying out. Be sure to cleanse after using the cleansing oil

Gets the job done but not as well as the balm

My favorite oil for cleansing and removing all my makeup at the end of the day. This oil doesn't disappoint.
I tried using this in my double cleansing method (washing with a water based cleanser after this oil) and while it did a great job taking off my makeup, it caused cystic acne on my face which I am not prone to. Going to return this item.

This is definitely worth the price - it lasts forever, takes off all of my makeup and doesn't bother my eyes like the balm to oil one does. I use this to take off my makeup then double cleanse with an actual cleanser. I will probably never use another makeup remover.

Amazed at how quickly my make up melts off my face!

I use this as my first part of a cleanse. I love that it removes waterproof makeup. And it rinses off too - it isn't greasy. I found a little pump or two instantly cleans my sponges and brushes too! No scrubbing and ruining my tools!

A little goes a long way. I've used this for months and I'm barely an inch down the bottle. I love that the pump locks for travelling. Nonscented. It delivers on it's promises to remove makeup gently. I also appreciate that it cuts down on my daily waste of using a makeup wipe.

I'm a firm believer in the double cleanse method. But I tend to switch between a balm and a cleansing oil. I've always used other oils (Tula, Julep and other K-beauty brands) but thought I would try this since I've used the Clinique balm before. I was impressed at how effective it is! It's not stripping and it feels very smooth without being greasy, if that makes sense. I also love that it's fragrance-free, which is always a nice option to have. I'm 40 with combination acne-prone skin and this hasn't been an issue at all. Clinique products are usually pretty tried and true for me. Not sure why I never scooped this up before. But I'll definitely be including it in my skincare arsenal going forward.

only make up remove i'll use. i have acne prone sensitive combo skin (fun right?) this stuff takes off everything! use a few pumps on dry hands and dry face. massage for a minute and then add a little water and massage for another minute. optional but you can go in with a water-based cleanser after. hasn't broken me out or anything. love that it's fragrance and dye free.

I've used many makeup remover items. They either made my skin feel greasy and dry. But not this one. My face always feels clean and smooth. I even have my sister in law and niece using it. They love it just as much as I do.

I don't have "acne" problems, but, I have struggled finding a cleanser for the longest time, I know this is meant to take off makeup but I use it to just wash away the day, my skin is left soft and feeling amazing. I've tried everything cerave, cetaphil, neutrogena, fresh, lush, etc, etc... nothing compares! My forehead bumps that I got from all these other cleansers has diminished to just a few, after less than a week of use. I use this in conjunction with day and night L'Oreal moisturizer and Evian facial spray, and, occasionally the ordinary treatments. If you have problems keeping your skin smooth, give this a try, doubt you'll regret.

I use the product as an end of the day cleaning of all the makeup, etc.

I use this as a makeup remover and overall cleansing oil. My one complaint is that the nozzle is faulty on mine (hopefully just mine). When you press it down, it moves to the side and squirts oil to the side; even when I anticipate the movement it will move the other way?? Not like any dispenser I've ever used. It has gotten a few tops oily and that's frustrating.

I really like using this cleansing oil as both a makeup remover and as the first step in the double cleansing method. For me, it's the perfect oil consistency. Only 4 pumps to remove a full face of makeup. It's thin, spreads out nicely when applied to the skin and it's fragrance free. It dissolves all my face makeup/mascara (can't speak for waterproof) sunscreen, etc... beautifully. It rinses off clean with water and leaves your skin ready for a water cleanser. I personally don't like the thicker oil formulas for make-up removal. However, as a deep pore cleanser, I will use a mixture of this cleansing oil along with a few drops of castor oil to create a thicker consistency, massage for 15-20 minutes to loosen up those impurities, steam face and then water cleanse. My pores are so clean after this! Also, this oil doesn't irritate or burn my eyes, which is a plus.
NOTE: If you wear contacts, I suggest taking them out before removing your eye makeup or you'll have a hard time cleaning all the oil from your contacts properly.
NOTE 2: Cleansing Oils are meant to be followed up with a water based cleanser to correctly remove and dissolve all the residue that an oil cleanser leaves behind. Namely, the double cleansing method.

Sooo worth it, and I haven't found a cheaper oil cleanser that does the job better than this one. Smooth and easy to remove. Doesn't hurt too bad if you accidentally get in your eyes and is really gentle!

I use this as as a first cleanse in the evening to wash away sunscreen and makeup.

I love this ! It's a little heavy on the lids, but leaves my face super clean.
