Overpriced for what it is
For my shoulder-length, medium, straight hair, it's just not worth the high price. While it's light and quiet up to the 2nd speed, there's just nothing special about it. Wow I love this hairdryer
I bought this on sale to replace my 13 year old Rusk Speed Freak, which was working fine but was loud and very hot. An Ulta stylist recommended it as she uses it herself. I have to say I'm surprised at how much I love this dryer…I don't do a lot style wise with my hair, just blow dry and go (winter only) but it is a joy to use. It's so much quieter than my old one and dries my long, medium thickness hair in about 5 minutes. I may actually start drying my hair in the summertime because of this dryer!

Stopped working.
Does not get hot enough
I have moderately thick natural medium length hair. I tried a round brush situation on already dry hair and it didn't get hot enough to straighten my hair to my satisfaction.

Hair Type Wavy Hair
I'm glad I finally bought this. After a lifetime of cheap hairdryers, I decided to take the plunge and invest in a fancy one. I debated paying more for a Dyson, which is touted as be the best, even though I was never wowed by the salon results. I kept looking at this product listing because of the reviews. Then, an Ulta stylist used her Olivia Garden on me during an appointment and I was convinced. I believe this product is better for ethnic, frizzy and wavy hair. I have long and wavy hair that is very dense and now also porous due to peri-menopause and decades of dyes and heat damage. This tool dries my hair quickly (25 minutes from sopping wet to styled) and my hair stays smoother, longer. I rough dry my hair with the cold air setting and only use heat to style it. The amount of time I apply heat is considerably less than before, so I believe my hair will be healthier as a result of using this tool.
