Definitely makes a difference, but only if you use it right!

This product works well as both a conditioner and as a hair mask, but it took me a few tries to figure it out. Here are some things I wish I was told. First off, for new customers, use this product for the first time when you don't have important events coming up. You need to experiment at least onc...e and feel confident that you will get your desired result, or you will be disappointed. That said, there are instructions provided with the product, but only use the instructions as a guide. You re the only one who knows your hair, so trust your gut. I used the product as an overnight hair mask the first time (as recommended in the guide), and it did not go well for my hair, despite what some other customers experienced. My hair used to be very dry (due to heat damage & dyes), but this product put me at the other end of the spectrum and made my hair very greasy and oily. Took me a couple washes to get the product out, and then I tried again leaving the hair mask in for 30 min instead. Still made my hair too greasy. I repeated the process for 20 minutes, 10 minutes, & 8 minutes until I realized the last option worked for me, and it worked really well. I also experimented using the product as I would any other conditioner and only keeping it in for only a couple minutes in the shower. I had no problems with this route either. I will say though, that I achieved the absolute best result *for my hair* by using it as a hair mask for 8-10 minutes and following my shower with a separate leave-in conditioner (no particular brand). This route has given my hair shine (not grease) and softness that is visible to people around me (& even over Zoom!). However, one thing to note is that using the product (even on its own without the additional leave-in conditioner) has made me wash my hair more often. I used to wash my hair once a week, and now I wash it 2 times a week (may wash a third time in the week if I straighten/curl/style my hair) to keep it fresh, oil-free, & smelling great. But good news is that my hair had an instant transformation and has been getting better ever since I started using this product and is definitely feeling softer and more nourished. Would definitely recommend! :)
