Not the color what expected

Midnight Mystery review
Every makeup company has wimped out of fun lip colors and only makes boring nudes now, so imagine my surprise to discover that Revlon of all companies apparently makes black?! I ordered it immediately. Turns out that it is not quite black, it is actually an extremely dark blue with a touch of blue and silver shimmer... but tbh it is dark enough that it's pretty much black. In very bright light you can see that it's blue. In any picture that's not an extreme close-up it looks black. It's a really comfy formula, the little bit of shimmer makes it less deadening than a matte black (which might be a plus or a minus depending on your goth goals), and the fact that it's actually blue is more forgiving to imperfect teeth (maybe it's just me but I find that straight black lipstick makes my teeth look really yellow). Minus a star because it is not super pigmented -- by itself, it needs three coats for full opacity. So it goes best with black lip liner or over another dark lippie.
Colors not as shown
I got Vampire's Love and it is super pink. Definitely does not have the pigmentation or depth of the images. The feel is fine but its messy.
