This stuff is terrible. Every time I've tried to use it after using my moisturizer, it pill up lin crazy. Every. Single. Time. No matter what I do, it's a mess and that is SO disappointing. Only good thing about this sunscreen is the texture: I like the almost velvety feel when applying but, other t...

I'm going to give you a breakdown, and cover the pros, cons, who it's good for, and potential alternatives, for this product! •What it is: A broad-spectrum SPF 35 sunscreen designed to be lightweight, fast-absorbing, and leave a clear, invisible finish on all skin tones. It's marketed as a daily sunscreen that can be worn alone or under makeup. •General Consensus: This sunscreen is generally well-received, especially considering its affordable price point. Many users are pleasantly surprised by its texture and finish. -Here's a breakdown of the product. 1. Appearance: It truly does go on clear and doesn't leave a white cast, even on darker skin tones. 2. Lightweight Texture: The texture is lightweight, non-greasy, and easy to spread. You can compare it to other favorably, bmore expensive sunscreens in terms of feel. 3. Good Under Makeup: It works well under makeup, creating a smooth base without causing pilling or caking. 4. Affordable Price: The affordable price makes it accessible to a wide range of consumers, making it a great option for daily use. 5. Minimal Scent: It has a minimal scent which is a bonus for those sensitive to fragrances. 6. Hydrating: I found it to be mildly hydrating. -Here's a breakdown of the CONS: 1. SPF 35 Might Not Be Enough for everyone: While SPF 35 is decent, some dermatologists recommend SPF 30 as the MINIMUM, and many people prefer a higher SPF (50+) for a more robust protection, especially during prolonged sun exposure. If you're spending a lot of time outdoors, you might want a higher SPF. 2. Reapplication is Key: Like all sunscreens, it needs to be reapplied every two hours, or more frequently if swimming or sweating. Some users may not be diligent about this. 3. It's not Ideal for Very Oily Skin (Potentially): While many find it lightweight, some (like myself) with very oily skin might find it a bit too moisturizing, although this is less commonly reported. This is a bit of a problem for me 4. Potential for Pilling (Rare): While most find it works well under makeup, a few users have reported occasional pilling, likely due to interactions with other skincare products. I didn't experience, and have not experienced this problem. 5. Packaging: Some don't like the squeeze tube. I didn't see the problem. Once it gets low just cut it open! Problem solved. -Who is it good for? 1. People with normal to dry skin: The hydrating properties make it particularly well-suited for these skin types. 2. People who want a clear, invisible sunscreen: A great choice for those with darker skin tones who struggle with white cast. 3. People who wear makeup daily: The lightweight texture and smooth finish make it a good primer. 4. Budget-conscious consumers: An excellent and affordable option for everyday sun protection. 5. People sensitive to fragrance: Due to its minimal scent, its good for those with sensitivities. -Who might want to look for alternatives? 1. People who prefer a higher SPF: If you want SPF 50 or higher, this isn't the right choice. 2. People with extremely oily skin: While it's generally lightweight, those with very oily skin might prefer a more mattifying sunscreen. 3. People who need water-resistant sunscreen: This sunscreen is not specifically marketed as water-resistant, so it's not ideal for swimming or heavy sweating. *Alternatives to Consider: 1. For Higher SPF: Look for sunscreens with SPF 50 or higher from brands like La Roche-Posay, EltaMD, or Supergoop! 2. For Oily Skin: Consider mattifying sunscreens from brands like Paula's Choice, or Innisfree. 3. For Water Resistance: Look for sunscreens specifically labeled as water-resistant, such as those from Neutrogena or Coppertone (but be sure to check reviews for white cast if you have darker skin). Other Affordable Options: Cerave and Versed make affordable sunscreens with different formulations that might suit your needs better. *Overall Verdict: The e.l.f. Skin Suntouchable Invisible Sunscreen SPF 35 is a solid choice, especially for its price. Its invisible finish, lightweight texture, and compatibility with makeup make it a winner for many. Just be mindful of the SPF level and whether it suits your specific skin type and activity level.

By the name of the product I thought this was just going to be a sunscreen. It is actually a sunscreen and a primer in one. It has a clear formula. It's lightweight and not heavy or greasy feeling. It melts into the skin nicely with no white cast.. all very important things for a face sunscreen. As for the primer aspect.. it blurs the skin nicely and works well under makeup. Overall a really unique product with multi purpose. Highly recommend the try!
