Glowy skin

I use it even if I wont be in the sun because it makes my skin glow, I would love it if it had more shimmer. Its too subtle. But it smells amazing and it does protect from sunburns I tested it on a beach day.

Feels great, didn't like the scent.

Love the way it feels but I don't like the smell. Everyone's nose is different, smell wise, it didn't work for me. The coconut scent was too overpowering.

Good in theory, fell short in practice.

I really like the idea of a spf body oil that I can apply daily after I shower but I feel like this oil was too heavy and took a long time to dry down. So it defeats the purpose of being an everyday oil because I could not get dressed after applying for 20-30 mins. Smells good & was great for looking hydrated and spf coverage heading out to the pool or beach but not everyday wear as I was hoping.

Glitter is misleading

The product smells and feels great however the glitter you see when buying the product is super misleading. You have to convince yourself the glitter is on your skin to see it, but the oil itself does make you shine. I was personally looking for shine with very visible glitter so this product missed the mark for me. It is a good as an spf oil if you aren't going for glitter.

The oil itself is fine. It does apply and spread really nicely, has a nice glisten/shimmer to it (although it does seem that is more due to the oil's sheen, not actual shimmer), and after some time, you can discern the Santal Bloom scent. However, when you first apply it, it smells weirdly like wintergreen mint, very similar to Bengay. I happen to like that scent, but I know that's not a common preference, and it certainly isn't Santal Bloom. That smell does fade away and the base scent comes through, but it is subtle even after those weird top notes are gone. I would also be sure to heed the application directions: wait 15-20 minutes after applying before going in the sun, and re-apply within 2 hours, or you will burn. It really doesn't hold up for more time than that, and definitely doesn't hold up against sweat or swimming. The packaging is the worst part. The cap doesn't stay on well, so forget about popping this bottle into your tote for everyday as-needed use - you'll end up with a real mess once the cap falls off and the dispenser is pressed by something in your bag. It also seems to be separating, with clumps of shimmer forming. Although I love the Santal Bloom products, I won't be ordering this one again.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend
