I always had hard time to find a gentle shampoo for my sensitive scalp. California naturals sensitive scalp shampoo has really great results. It gently cleanse the scalp, does not strip my hair or scalp and hydrates the hair. It calms my sensitive scalp and leaves hair soft, smooth and clean. It is fragrance free and feels amazing. I'd definitely buy again.

After using it, my scalp felt clean and refreshed, and it removed buildup without causing any irritation, which is really important for me. It also didn't leave my hair feeling stripped. I do feel like you definitely need to follow up with a good conditioner, especially if your hair is longer or processed, because it can feel a bit dry on its own. I paired it with a California Naturals moisturizing conditioner, and that made a big difference. These two are a match made in heaven—the conditioner feels creamy (almost like avocado), but not greasy, and it has a subtle fragrance. I understand it's made to be fragrance-free for sensitive scalps, but it does have that typical "unscented" smell. Personally, I don't mind it and actually like that clean feel, but I understand it won't be everyone's cup of tea. That said, the performance itself is really good, so if you're looking for a gentle, non-irritating shampoo, this is a solid option.

This sensitive scalp shampoo by California Naturals is exactly what you want to get for when your scalp is at it's breaking point. It has not even a hint of fragrance even though the ingredients list chamomile, but it leaves your scalp feeling clean and - dare i say - moisturized? My only complaint is that I feel like it takes more product than normal or a double wash to really feel like the hair is clean.

All that being said, if this was priced similar to other products I've used for a similar reason, I would go for this one, simply because other products made for those issues typically have a much stronger and unpleasant smell.
