Good but..

Unfortunately this foot cream is not an absolute favorite of mine. The pros it has, and why I keep buying it, is obviously because of the '62 scent but also because it absorbs immediately and doesn't leave any greasy feel so you can put your socks or whatever back on within minutes but at the same t...ime that's the con for me. See, I have extremely dry skin everywhere and I deal with a bit of callouses on my feet so I need extreme hydration on my skin and especially on my feet but this foot cream just isn't hydrating at all! Which is why it absorbs so quickly. I don't feel that it does anything to help with the dryness and I don't feel the hydration working its magic on my feet, which is of course unfortunate as I love the scent. I have the same problem with Sol's hand lotions, absorb very quickly and don't hydrate my hands nearly enough. I sometimes have to apply twice on my hands to feel any hydration going on, and the same goes for the foot cream. But I do love the scent and sometimes I want to use foot creams that are going to absorb quickly if the situation calls for it so I do like to have this on hand for that, but mostly I use foot creams at night after my shower and I use very thick creams that I can feel are hydrating the dryness in those areas. The texture of this foot cream is VERY thin, which I'm guessing is because they wanted a foot cream that would absorb quickly so I will say that their statement that it absorbs very fast is without a doubt a true statement from them! But if I'm writing this review to give my honest opinion on the effectiveness of the product then I'll have it give it 3 stars, which are for the scent itself and that it absorbs within minutes, if that! But I am sure that TONS of people love this foot cream for what it is! But us dryer skinned people who also have callouses, we do need a little thicker consistency and a lot more hydration. I will say though that I use the smoothing board that comes with the cream religiously! I absolutely love that product! I do hope that Sol at some point changes the formula for their foot and hand creams to a thicker consistency so it can be used for dry skin, but I have come to realize that it must just be the Cheirosa '62 lotion line in general as the Bum Bum cream has the exact same problem for me. I thought at first that it was just how they manufactured their creams but then they came out with the Bom Dia and the AMAZING Beija Flor creams and those are the absolute BEST and SO hydrating and thick without being greasy!! So they can clearly make good hydrating creams! I only wish they'd come out with hand creams and foot creams in the Beija Flor scent (which is my favorite) and the Bom Dia scent! I would jump with joy if that happened!!
