It applies smoothly, almost... like a luxurious lotion for the hair. The brand recommends applying it to clean, damp hair, focusing from mid-lengths to ends, and leaving it in for about 10 minutes before rinsing thoroughly. What I appreciate is that the mask feels instantly softening as it spreads, without the greasy slip some deep conditioners leave behind. For reference, my hair is thick, slightly wavy, with dryness at the ends from years of styling and occasional highlighting. I got a palm full which was plenty to saturate the mid-lengths and ends of my shoulder-length hair. After the recommended 10 minutes, rinsing was surprisingly easy. Some hair masks tend to cling, making hair feel coated even after a thorough rinse, but this one washed out cleanly, leaving behind softness without residue. I could tell a difference as soon as I towel-dried and combed through. My hair was noticeably smoother, with less tangling and more slip when running a wide-tooth comb through it. After blow-drying, the results were even more striking: my hair looked shinier, felt silkier, and had a healthy bounce that I hadn't experienced in a while.
