I love beauty. I have been in this world for forty-five wonderful years and about twenty-five of those have been spent loving beauty and skincare of all sorts. The last decade has been spent deep diving into skincare and all the benefits of ingredients and finding out what they do for me. I have see...n a lot of fads come and go. I have also seen a lot of things that have stuck around. Red light therapy seems to be one of those things sticking around so I was pretty excited to get my hands on the Solawave 2-in-1 Mini LED and give it a try. That excitement unfortunately did not last very long for me. Let's start with a major design flaw. The way you hold it is a telescoping back that you put between two fingers. Think of those little pop-out things you attach to your phone to hold it. Not inherently bad. The issue is, that this one barely has any space. I do not consider myself to have overly large fingers at all. Not tiny but certainly not huge. I wear a size seven ring and my fingers can barely fit to hold it. I get that it is a mini but I still need to be able to hold it to use it and anyone with a larger finger than mine is going to have a difficult time doing so. Of course, you can just decide not to hold it between your fingers which is what I did but then it feels very flimsy and it keeps trying to push itself in with the slightest pressure. That aside there are good things about the design as well. It does warm up beautifully as promised and if you use it for that function to perhaps add an element to your skincare or mask application for relaxation this is fantastic. The red lights do work and are very bright. The timer to know when to switch to a new treatment area is very helpful as well. I also loved that it came with a little travel pouch to help you along the way. If you are a red light believer this would be great for you to use for travel if the other design flaws did not annoy you. Promises broken. A big deal breaker for me. I never expect miracles from a product. That just is not realistic. I do hope to see some improvement in the areas it claims to help. I get bags under my eyes and puffy cheek areas. I used this device daily on my cheeks. I also used it on my neck and forehead. It did absolutely nothing for the puffiness. I never saw any result. I tried using it in the fine line areas near my mouth also. No results. I saw no reduction in fine lines. It just didn't do a thing for my skin at all. I can not recommend this product based on my user experience. Review was collected in exchange for a gifted product.
