- Asked by jackie
- Official Answer By The INKEY List - Brand EngageGreat question! Our Oat Cleansing Balm is non-comedogenic and is safe to use on sensitive or acne-prone skin. It's worth noting that due to the natural ingredients, this is a nourishing balm that is rich in texture. So if you have an oily or combination skin type this one works best as a first cleanse to remove SPF and/or make up 🖤Was this answer helpful to you

My holy grail cleanser!!
I LOVE this cleansing balm! I have tried a lot of cleansing balms over the years, many that are much more expensive than this one. Hands down, The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm is my holy grail cleanser! I have very dry, acne prone skin and I use Tretinoin regularly so I need a routine that hydrates...

Horrible, inefficient product
I'm convinced either everyone else who's reviewed this positively has never tried other, much better cleansing balms, or that I've received a faulty unit. I honestly disliked everything about this product. The packaging feels and looks cheap and is really difficult to squeeze, especially when you've...

Love for mascara removal
I wasn't thrilled with how my face felt after using on my whole face but it was amazing at removing mascara and eye makeup, better than most eye makeup removers I've tried.
formula isn't the same
I used to use and love this product to remove makeup as my first cleanse. something has changed with the formula and there are tiny exfoliating beads in it that are really hard to get off and are pretty abrasive. the manufacturer said it was an issue with the temperature it has been stored at and to massage it well to warm it up in my hands before applying but it doesn't seem to help and my entire bottle is like this. I prefer the elf cleansing balm.
What happened to the formula?
I used to love this, but for some reason this bottle that I just bought has hard little beads or granules in it. They do not melt. I can't massage this balm on my face the way it's supposed to be used without scratching myself with little hard beads.
Yuck! Waxy & horrible film left
I bought a kit to try this brand out since I've heard about it for so long. Seems it came out as a rival to the ordinary. It's going right in the trash. It leaves a horrible waxy film on my skin. When I first opened it all that came out was liquid so I shook it up and still it was just the worst cleanser I've ever used. I'll stick to clean it zero!
The Formula Changed
I used to live by this balm as someone with sensitive, combination to dry skin. It was so gentle and made my skin feel so refreshed, without causing breakouts. However, they must have changed the formula recently, because it leaves a weird greasy feeling after rinsing, and they've added exfoliating beads in the product (I avoid products with exfoliating beads after having a bad experience with them).
