Great formula, amazing unique shade, less than ideal range
(Review of no.7 burnt toast) I picked this up expecting a cool-toned contour type brown, but on my light olive skin, burnt toast shows up as a true light neutral brown, with the faintest yellow undertone. There's no pink or orange, which I really appreciate when it comes to light nude lip pencils. It's lighter and more neutral than I anticipated, but it blends beautifully with other lip products, and I've found myself reaching for it nearly every day since I got it.The formula is smooth, not ultra-creamy like the Colourpop liners, but still very blendable. It has a slight stiffness that helps it stay in place, but the rounded tip is really helpful for a diffused lip line. It's not meant for crisp definition (as with many Korean/East Asian lip pencils), but if you're going for a blurred or gradient lip, it works great. It layers evenly whether you apply it on bare lips or over a balm (though it is sheerer), and I've had no issues with pilling or patchiness. It's blendable initially, and sets down nicely without budging. On matte lips, it lasts all day with minimal fading. I experience no transfer once it's set down. On glossy lips, you'll get some breakdown, but nothing crazy. More of a soft fade than patchiness. Despite being quite matte, it doesn't feel drying. I top it with balm throughout the day for moisture, but that's more about my own dry lips than any discomfort from the pencil itself. I love wearing this around the border of my lips and blending in a lip mud or lip clay, sort of like the romand fudge tint or fwee pudding pots) toward the center. Just a really nice soft look. For me, this pencil almost exactly matches my skin tone — it's very subtle, and it works very nicely for a low effort look. That said, unless you're exceptionally fair-skinned, this shade probably won't show up as a defining sort of color. On light-medium or deeper complexions, burnt toast will look incredibly ashy, maybe even white. I really hope Unleashia expands the shade range because the formula is beautiful and deserves to be more inclusive. While it's not quite the shade I expected, I really enjoy how neutral and versatile it is. In the two or so weeks Ive had, Ive been wearing it near daily, and I'll likely repurchase once I finish it. Not a 100% must-have, given the less than amazing shade range, but it's a very solid product in all other respects.

The real-life color is even prettier than the photo lol. This is the first time that happened lol. Shade 2 salmon color is so pretty. I was so satisfied that I bought three more.

All the colors are so pretty, I couldn't decide, so I bought #1 and #2 first and I love them~~~ I used to find lip pencils hard to use, but this one goes on naturally and is easy to use >< The case design is cute too, and I loved the product so much that I ordered a shading color as well and I'm excited for it!
