is this acne safe?
- Asked by jackie
- Official Answer By The INKEY List - Brand EngageGreat question! Our Oat Cleansing Balm is non-comedogenic and is safe to use on sensitive or acne-prone skin. It's worth noting that due to the natural ingredients, this is a nourishing balm that is rich in texture. So if you have an oily or combination skin type this one works best as a first cleanse to remove SPF and/or make up 🖤Was this answer helpful to you

My holy grail cleanser!!
I LOVE this cleansing balm! I have tried a lot of cleansing balms over the years, many that are much more expensive than this one. Hands down, The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm is my holy grail cleanser! I have very dry, acne prone skin and I use Tretinoin regularly so I need a routine that hydrates...

Horrible, inefficient product
I'm convinced either everyone else who's reviewed this positively has never tried other, much better cleansing balms, or that I've received a faulty unit. I honestly disliked everything about this product. The packaging feels and looks cheap and is really difficult to squeeze, especially when you've...

Reformulated without informing customers & its worse!
Oh friends I don't think a single beauty product has ever made me so mad! This stuff was my HG, the absolute best thing I've found for my skin in 30+ years next to trent. The packaging was annoying, yes, as you see as a reoccuring theme in reviews of the product. It was too hard/thick of a product for the thick plastic bottle it was in. It needs softer plastic like The Ordinary or a jar. I actually bougt a jar with the intention of putting this in it. Color me CONFUSED when my most recent tube slid right on out into my hand. I thought oh my bathroom must be warm! Slathered onto my face and to my horror the product was gritty. GRITTY. I immediately washed it off and my skin didnt feel right. Ive squeezed it into my hands 4 times now and rubbed it around in my hand and the grittyness never disapates. There are at least 10-20 white granules the sizs of poppy seeds. It has clearly been reformulated to be softer and they got it all wrong Allllll wrong!! What's annoying is that n-o-b-o-dy asked for a refomulation. We asked for different packaging so 0/100 for listening to your customers. You also never bothered to slap a refomulated or any such language onto the product to let your customers know you made a change. You played us like suckers and in this day and age its unconsionable to play with your customers money. Shame on you. You've lost me as a customer.
My tried and true
I've repurchased this multiple times and will continue to do so as it is gentle on my sensitive skin and doesn't cause any irritation while removing my makeup. I don't love that new bottles are always separated with mostly oil coming out instead of the balm. The packaging could also be better, but I'll continue repurchasing as this is now a core product for me.
best makeup romover , helps acne
make sure you use a generous amount and I would say before rinsing off lather on face for three minutes afterwards it takes about three or four minutes to get all of it off the film, but I think it's just working really deep inside the skin, but it does take a while to rince off before putting on the face wash
Nope.
Why does this smell like rancid oil? I couldn't get past it to actually put it on my face for fear that I'd smell it all night long. Yuck
Great product terrible packaging

Love this cleanser and have bought it multiple times. However the packaging is terrible. INKEY PLEASE PUT THIS IN A POT!! The tube is so hard to squeeze that it's impossible to get any product out once it's down to half used. I end up cutting open the tube and scraping the cleanser into a Tupperware!
