OGX Nourishing + Coconut Oil Weightless Hydrating Oil Mist

I've started following the Abbey Young method to help with my extremely breakage-prone hair and I saw that she recommened this oil for people with finer, thinner hair, so I figured I'd try it out. I've been using it for about a week now, and I basically have no complaints! I have straight fine hair with a greasy scalp, but frizzy, dry ends, so I'm very picky about hair oils that can actually smooth and condition my mids and ends without weighing down my hair and making it greasy. I use this as a pre shower treatment, applying about 20 mins before a shower to my mids and ends, after I shower to lock in moisture and smooth frizz, and between washes to keep my ends from getting dry and frizzy. I spray it directly into my hand rather than on my hair and I find this helps me more evenly distribute the product and avoid using too much. I only use one spray (I have about collarbone length hair), so I imagine this will last me quite a while. It never makes my hair feel greasy or weighed down, and I have definitely noticed my hair feeling much smoother since I started using this. My one gripe is the scent, which I don't love, but I find that the scent doesn't linger in my hair, which is fine for me. It's a very coconutty, buttery scent, so if you're the type of person who's very sensitive to strong smells, I might skip this one. Otherwise, I would definitely recommend!

I got this oil mist to add moisture to my hair and minimize the frizz but it didn't really do anything. Because I have thin wavy hair, I know I have to use this product carefully and not over do it to make sure I don't make my hair look oily and greasy and so I've only been spraying it twice into my hands and applying it mainly on the lengths and ends. On my hair wash day, I put it in after the shower and I think instead of helping minimize the frizz it may have actually made it worse BUT I could be wrong. On other days where I was doing an updo and used the mist to prep the hair and help fly-aways there was no significant change. It does have a strong, but pleasant smell if you're someone who likes coconut. I think it would be nice to use this oil mist as a hair perfume once you have your hair in the final desired look but not as your main tool for tackling frizz.

This is a great lightweight hair oil. I have long, virgin, fine hair (and a lot of it) that tends to look a little dry on the ends, and this adds just enough moisture to the ends so they look shinier and healthier. I have to use this relatively sparingly. I spray about 4-5 sprays on my hands, and then use my hands to evenly apply it to my hair and then brush it through. If I spray it directly on my hair, my hair will start to look greasy. Also, the smell is divine. I seriously wish everything smelled like this hair mist. A warm, comforting coconut and vanilla scent that's not too sweet. Sadly, the scent doesn't last very long. I look forward to putting this in my hair because it smells so so good. If I found a body spray or perfume that smelled like this, I'd buy it for life.
