- Q
Can I use this at the same time as hydroquinone?
- Asked by Lu
- Official Answer By Anua - Brand EngageThank you for your inquiry. While hydroquinone is a potent skin-lightening agent used in targeted treatments, it can also increase skin sensitivity. Using it alongside our Anua NIACINAMIDE 10% + TXA 4% SERUM containing niacinamide may be tolerated by some users, as niacinamide is generally soothing and supportive of the skin barrier. However, since both ingredients affect pigmentation, we highly recommend consulting with a dermatologist or medical professional before combining them - especially if you’re using a hydroquinone-based product prescribed for a specific condition. Also, please ensure that proper sun protection is used during the day, as hydroquinone can make your skin more susceptible to UV damage. Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Can this be used after exfoliating?
- Asked by Nat
- Official Answer By Anua - Brand EngageThank you for your question! The ANUA Niacinamide 10% + TXA 4% Serum can generally be used after exfoliating, as both niacinamide and tranexamic acid are known to be gentle and supportive of the skin barrier. This combination can help soothe and brighten the skin following exfoliation. However, since exfoliation may increase skin sensitivity temporarily, it’s important to ensure your skin tolerates this layering well. We recommend using a hydrating toner or essence first, then applying the serum, and always following up with a moisturizer and sunscreen if used during the day. A patch test is also advised when introducing new products into your routine. If you have any other questions, feel free to let us know! Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Can this be used for dark spotsaround the eyes?
- Asked by Marie
- Official Answer By Anua - Brand EngageThank you for your question! This serum is designed to target hyperpigmentation and uneven skin tone. While it may help reduce dark spots, we do not recommend using it around the delicate eye area, as it contains active ingredients that may cause irritation. Please use an eye cream specifically formulated for that area instead. Please let us know if you have any other questions — we’re happy to assist! Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Do you put this on before or after a toner?
- Asked by Amanda
- Official Answer By Anua - Brand EngageThe ANUA Niacinamide 10% + TXA 4% Serum should be applied after toner and before moisturizer in your skincare routine. Using it after toner allows the serum to absorb more effectively and deliver its benefits to your skin. Here’s a simple order for reference: 1. Cleanser 2. Toner 3. Niacinamide 10% + TXA 4% Serum 4. Moisturizer 5. Sunscreen (AM routine only) We hope this helps you get the best results from your routine. If you have any more questions, feel free to reach out!Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Can this be used daily?
- Asked by Andrea
- Official Answer By Anua - Brand EngageThank you for your interest in our Niacinamide 10% + TXA 4% Serum. Yes, this serum can be used daily, ideally once a day during your evening routine. However, if you’re new to niacinamide or tranexamic acid, we recommend starting with 2–3 times a week and gradually increasing the frequency as your skin builds tolerance. As with any active skincare ingredient, be sure to follow up with sunscreen in the morning and observe how your skin responds. If you experience any irritation, please reduce usage or consult with a dermatologist. We hope this helps, and feel free to reach out if you have any more questions. Was this answer helpful to you

My New Skincare Obsession
I've tried my fair share of serums, but this one? It's a total game-changer. If you're on the hunt for tighter, brighter skin, keep reading because this serum is everything. First Impressions Let's talk about the packaging. Simple, clean, and chic. The dropper is super easy to use, and you don't ne...

Not for me
The NIACINAMIDE 10%+TXA 4% Serum by Anua wasn't for me. Some background, I'm a 42 year old Master Esthetician that loves super hydrating (bordering on indulgent) skincare. My combo skin leans a bit dry these days, especially during the winter. My experience using this serum was brief (a week) bu...

Anua Niacinamide Serum Review
Unfortunately, this serum didn't work for me. It has a super sticky texture that never really absorbs into the skin—it just sits on top and makes you look oily, not dewy. It might give the illusion of "glass skin" in a photo, but in real life it feels heavy and greasy. If you have sensitive skin, be careful: it burned immediately upon application for me. I had to wash it off right away. I suspect the high 10% niacinamide concentration or possibly the tranexamic acid might be too strong for certain skin types. I wanted to love it, but between the stickiness and irritation, this was a pass.
I would buy this product over and over again
I've been using the ANUA Niacinamide 10% + TXA 4% Serum for a month now, and I'm really impressed! The texture is light and absorbs quickly without feeling sticky. I've noticed my skin looks brighter and more even, and some dark spots are fading. It works well under my moisturizer. My skin feels hydrated and smooth, too. Just a heads-up, if you have sensitive skin, start slow and patch test first because it's pretty potent. Overall, definitely recommend if you want to improve your skin tone and glow
Careful
I bought this product thinking it will help with discoloration on my skin but it destroyed my skin barrier after two uses. It made my cheeks burn, and i ended up with closed comedones all over my forehead and cheeks. The percentage of niacinamide in this is 10% . If your skin cant handle niacinamide at a high percentage or at all, then this isnt for you. If you have sensitive or reactive skin, then it isnt for you.
Disappointed
Unfortunately this product has done nothing but break me out. I gave it a few tries in hopes I would change my mind but its done nothing but disappoint me. No brightening the skin or anything that everyone has said the project is done for them. Unfortunately, I will not be buying again.
Not for everyone
It's not for everyone. From the first use, it caused a reaction on my face and I don't consider myself to have sensitive skin. This is the only product that has caused me pimples.
