This mask is legit. I have mostly straight untextured hair with a blonde balayage (color). My hair strands are fine and very slippery, but I have a LOT of hair. I saw one of my favorite influencers review this product so I thought I'd give it a try. Here are my thoughts (I'm a Latina with thick, fine stranded 3C hair) Pros: light cent, easy to distribute on hair. Cons: my hair is not hydrated, doesn't help with detangling and leaves a residue. I really...

I have straight, chemically treated hair, I get it bleached every 7 weeks. I haven't been using heat on my hair for about 3 months and thought that would help my hair dullness, dryness, and split ends and was using a standard shampoo and conditioner. But, I realized not adding heat was only half the solution. I used this last night with a shower cap and warm towel for 20 minutes and let it air dry. My hair has NEVER been softer. I think with continued use my hair will continue to look hydrated and healthy. Obsessed with this deep conditioner!

Personally this product didnt work as well as the Eva NYC that I usually use. The smell of this product reminds me of medicine, which was very disappointing. Also the amount of product you get is ridiculous especially after spending nearly $40.

Bottom Line No, I would not recommend to a friend

This mask is legit. I have mostly straight untextured hair with a blonde balayage (color). My hair strands are fine and very slippery, but I have a LOT of hair. I have issues with damaged ends and a LOT of frizzy flyaways. I've used this mask one time and it has helped my issues a lot! And yes, it also smells amazing. My bathroom still smells great after I used it. I looked on the website to make sure I was using it correctly. Here's how I did it: I used the Cecred clarifying shampoo first, rinsed it thoroughly, got out of the shower, and towel dried my hair a bit so it was no longer dripping. I tried to split my hair into sections and applied the Reconstructuring mask from root to tip, as the instructions said. I made sure I applied it well to the hair around my scalp — don't hold back in this area. The mask will not make your scalp oily. Like I said, I have a lot of hair, but I was pleased that I didn't have to use a ton of the mask for my hair to feel fully saturated/coated in the same way that I do with many other products. I REALLY made sure my hair was fully coated. I rubbed the mask thoroughly into the ends of my hair. The instructions then say to give your hair some heat — this helps the proteins in the mask activate better. I put my hair in a t-shirt, put the diffuser attachment on my blowdryer, cranked up the heat, and heated up my hair for about 10 minutes. I let it sit 10 more minutes (20 minutes total per the instructions) then got back in the shower and rinsed. The instructions then say to apply a deep conditioner after. This step is important. I did that, let it marinate on my hair for about 10 minutes before rinsing, got out of the shower, and blow-dried my hair as I normally would. The texture difference became obvious as my hair dried — it was much softer and I could feel that the shafts of individual hairs were much smoother. In the Q&A section on the Cecred website, they said NOT to overuse this mask, and that it should be used every 6-8 weeks depending on how damaged your hair is. Overusing it can cause new issues. This information needs to be more obvious on Ulta's website — its weird that I had to dig for an answer to that. I'll probably give it 7 weeks and will use it again. Overall, huge fan. I didn't know this was a Beyoncé hair product when I bought it, but I love my Beyoncé hair now. I'm really happy Ulta decided to carry this. Splurging on a protein mask is so worth it, in my opinion. I'll repurchase when that day comes.
