Love everything Kitsch, but not this one

Let me start by saying I love everything Kitsch sells. I have a ton of their products and it's all 5 stars for me. That said, I had to write a review for this leave in because it actually destroyed my hair. For reference, I have 2c/3a hair that's very thick and very coarse. I had very long, very hea...lthy hair when I started using it. It doesn't feel lightweight in your hair, it actually adds hold and makes it harder to get your fingers or a brush through your hair. I noticed my ends started tangling more easily even after just brushed. I didn't make the connection at first it was the product in my hair tangling it, so I started focusing more of it on my ends to detangle. My ends tangled worse and worse and started breaking off and splitting. The knots caused so much breakage, I was shedding hair all over the house and having massive clumps of hair in the shower every time I washed my hair once a week. I still didn't make the connection and used the leave in for two months. Eventually, my ends were so destroyed, they were like straw and I had to go and get 6" of broken ends cut off at the salon (see before and after photos; before is from October just prior to starting use). After my haircut, my hair felt so healthy again I didn't use the leave in for several weeks. Last week I sprayed it in again and immediately noticed the difference in my hair — the gummy feeling of having a product with hold in my hair. Again, I couldn't get a brush or my hands through it and was feeling knots and breakage and noticing a lot of shedding again. After a couple of uses in the last two weeks, it dawned on me that it was the leave in. I washed my hair thoroughly and problem was solved. I air dried it and had soft, tangle-free hair again. I threw out the rest of the bottle. Again, I LOVE Kitsch and I use several of their shampoo and conditioner bars, as well as a ton of other products. I only wrote this review to shed (pun intended?) light on this because I was devastated to have to cut off so much hard-earned hair over a leave in conditioner. It's hard work to grow hair long and having to cut it when you don't want to is heartbreaking.
