For a natural look, start at the cupid's bow, moving along the natural lip line toward the outer corners. Sketch in small sections for easy control.
For bold definition, apply more pressure starting from the outer corners, lining inward to the center of the lip. Concentrate color on the outer portions of the lip before filling in to create contour and fullness.

This was gifted by NARS and the lip liner in night bird is such an amazing color and goes well with so many of my lippies that need a darker liner. It goes on so smoothly and does a fantastic job of keeping the lipstick in line.

I love this lip liner. I love the color. It looks exactly what is shown. I can wear it without it smudging it's long lasting and it's so creamy it glide on so gently, keeping my lips moisturized, and the color stays intact. a complimentary from nars

This is NOT a paid review! It is my honest feedback including swatches of new colors! I was interested in swatching these, since they were new. Tried the shades 716 Babylon Pink, 717 Ultimate Pleasure, and 718 Animal Instinct. The shades were fine, good enough range, and natural-ish pinks...although I did not think any of them were my personal holy grail shade. The lip liners were buttery smooth, and easy to apply. Unfortunately they did not last long at all, I had some tea (so I could note if it came off on my mug - it did) and then wiped the rest off with a dry clean towel - no water, makeup remover or cleanser was needed to wipe these clean off. These liners would be good for a photo shoot, but not ideal for everyday use, or use longer than 10 minutes if you want the liner to look sharp & crisp all day long. In addition to this photo review, I also posted a video swatching these 3 shades, if you'd like to see them on my skin tone & lip tone in different lighting. I attached two photos of the swatches on me, as well - one in bright white light, and one in a golden tone light. I rated a 2 because the main thing about lip liners (in my opinion) is their staying power, since we are humans and actually use our mouths all day long.

#sweepstakes unlike the majority of the reviews on here I purchased this lip liner in the shade huyere twice because I fell in love with the color that much. The lipliner applies perfectly and is long wearing. You can match any nude lip color with this hue of lip liner which is in a cool tone. It's beautiful
