Fresh, feminine, light, sultry, and sweet in a really bea...

I really enjoyed wearing mark. Jacob's Just Perfect and getting a feel for how the fragrance developed on my skin. One of the ways I reviewed this perfume was by wearing it around my family. Friends and my husband and asking them what stood out to them as the scent settled. I even happened to have... my aunt over who has an incredibly sharp nose, and absolutely loves perfume. So naturally, she got recruit it into the fragrance panel as well. The perfume opens like a pink-red fruit bowl chilled in the refrigerator: juicy strawberries, raspberry, crisp red apple and a little citrus brightness. It feels fresh, colorful and crisp. Rather than overly sweet. Then, the fruit begins to soften, and this delicate white floral veil of Jasmine and orange blossoms seem to settle over everything, that veil is probably my favorite way to describe this part of the fragrance. Because it doesn't completely cover up the fruit underneath, it lingers over it. There's still a little peak of that bright sweetness beneath the florals, but now the scent feels softer, more feminine, and a little more...sultry. When I think of a veil, I think of something sheer and beautiful, almost like lace draped over the skin or a soft pashmina resting around your shoulders. It changes the mood without hiding what was already there. That's exactly how this fragrance develops. The jasmine was actually the note that came through strongest for almost everyone. I asked, it gives the perfume that fresh bright floral quality without becoming too heavy, powdery, or overly floral. What I really loved, though, was what happened as it continued to linger on my skin. That fresh crisp opening started to relax the floral veil stayed behind, but the caramel slowly began to come forward underneath it. The scent became warmer, smoother, creamier and more intimate, with that soft caramel-vanilla sweetness settling into the background. The best way I can describe the whole transition is that it begins as this chilled bowl of bright, juicy fruit. It gets wrapped in a sheer floral veil, and then slowly melts into a little caramel sunset. That warmer dry down works, especially well. On me, because caramel, vanilla type fragrances tend to blend beautifully with my skin. The sweetness never felt overwhelming. Instead, it made the fragrance feel relaxed and sultry after that, bright beginning. To me, this would be such a pretty fragrance for a spring or summer evening. It has enough freshness to feel right in warmer weather. But that warm caramel finishes. Give it just enough romance for a sultry slowdown summer sunset.
