Smudgeproof and offers great hold

As far as smudgeproof goes this mascara is for sure smudgeproof once it dries. The formula, once dried, cannot be manipulated using a lash separator easily or it will begin to flake. You can apply multiple coats, but if you let it dry completely between coats it will begin to look spidery and small ...clumps will develop. I recommend doing one or 2 coats at max to avoid this. Also, I recommend you hold the wand upright with end of brush pointed downwards when trying to separate and apply additiinal coats to specific lash sections in order to avoid gathering and clumping. Appliying additional coats while holding brush parallel to lash line did not work as effectively. It does a good job of setting your lashes. If you desire them to stay curled or lifted long after using a lash curler, the hold this formula provides is very good. As far as smudgproof and stay put formulas go, this one does a good job as long as you do not try to manipulate it after it has dried or apply too many coats. I would buy this formula to use as a setting mascara over top of other favorite formulas I have found, but not as a replacement due to the difficulty with building the formula and avoiding clumps, as well as the stiff feel it gave my lashes when using it alone. If someone is looking for a stay put, smudgefree, daily mascara that gives rich color and a pretty everyday look in 1 to 2 coats, this is a good fit. I rated it 3 stars due to difficulty with separating lashes and building the formula as desired without clumps or spidery appearance.
