Apply a pea-sized amount of foundation to the center of the face and blend outward using a brush. Gently buff into skin using Ambient Soft Glow Foundation Brush and build until desired level of coverage is achieved.

Its okay
I have combo skin with no breakouts. As soon as I set this with powder it looks okay. The very minute my pores open or oil pushes it breaks apart and looks absolutely awful. It's okay for very light makeup days but anything more than that its game over. Regularly use Smashbox Halo and I think that one is far better. It's a rare miss from Hourglass for me, usually their products are amazing. Also was verrrry separated when it arrived and I grew another bicep shaking it to get it to mix again.
Feels Heavy
This is a nice foundation but it is definitely not lightweight which is what I prefer. Maybe it's the sunscreen in it but I very much felt like I was wearing foundation. The coverage is light to medium and the finish is radiant but I didn't feel it was very natural looking. I tried 2 different shades in 2 different undertones and even though they were the right depth, neither seemed quite right. I also did not consider this long wearing. I didn't dislike it but for the price point there are other foundations I prefer. It just didn't wow me. I liked the Veil skin tint better although still struggled to find a good shade match. This product runs much lighter than the Hourglass skin tint. For reference I have shades 2 and 3 in the tint and tried shades 5 and 6 in the Illusion foundation.

Beautiful foundation with the perfect glow for my dry skin. I am a light medium. The shade finder matched me with #7 which was much too light. I repurchased #11 which is perfect for me. The foundation is long wearing. Will definitely purchase again.
In love
Ive been searching for the perfect foundation forever. A lot depends on your personal skin needs. My first impression was this is way thicker than i usually use. However, it lasts all day and doesnt settle into fine lines. It even lasted after a workout. Does not pick up dry patches you may have which has been a problem for me with other products. I got a perfect shade match and I am loving the look and wear. Only drawback is its pricey for the amount of product. Will continue to buy.
