Pretty Impressive for Hard to Cover Dark Circles
I had the opportunity to try MILK Makeup's new Hydro Grip Gel Concealer (gifted by milkmakeup) in shade 4, and overall it's a great addition to my routine. The formula has a gel-like, creamy feel that's different from traditional concealers and applies very easily without dragging on the skin (though you do still need to properly prep your under eye if you have mature skin). It feels lightweight and breathable while still offering solid coverage. I applied it under one eye only (with no other makeup) to really see the coverage, and it did a pretty good job minimizing my dark circles compared to the bare side. Not completely covered (hence the 4 stars) but it does a much better job than most concealers I try. The shade blended in naturally and looked like my skin, just more even. For more mature under-eyes, I'd suggest moisturizing or prepping first to ensure the smoothest finish. With full makeup on, it looks even better and holds up nicely throughout the day. I like that it hydrates while still staying in place and giving a polished result. It's a versatile concealer that works well on its own or layered with other products.
Lightweight but does the job
What I appreciate most is how skin-friendly it feels. My skin tends to get dehydrated easily, and a lot of concealers end up emphasizing texture by midday. This one actually keeps my under-eye area looking smooth and comfortable, almost like I'm wearing skincare instead of makeup. It also wears surprisingly well on warmer days. Once it sets, it stays put, but it never feels tight or dry. I've been using it both as a spot concealer and lightly across my face on "no foundation" days, and it works beautifully for that effortless, even-skin look. It's not meant to be full glam coverage, but for everyday wear—errands, meetings, travel—it's exactly what I want. I love the hydro grip primer, so I was dying to try this concealer! I got it gifted by milkmakeup. It is lightweight, and buildable. Definitely not a full coverage but it can be built up to that. And super hydrating!
