Hold the eyebrow pen upside down for fifteen seconds and shake well to saturate the tip.
Flick the brow pen upward to create thin strokes and fill in sparse areas. Apply more pressure for deeper pigment.
Replace cap quickly after use.

But then I applied it to my brows and the pigment was there more so than it was on the back of my hand. I tested it out by applying to a clean face right before the gym. And after about 4 hour...

Holy Strokes
I can't understand why this has so many low reviews. I absolutely love it ! I'm on my second pen. I use it everyday, it creates the perfect shadow lines (hopefully that makes sense). Its light. Just enough color. Natural. I use the color Espresso. If you want very dark lines and you have an eyebrow to create from scratch, this probably is not for you.
