Awful scent
I was excited to try this, saw all the reciews talking about how amazing this smelled. I used this once and it made my freshly washed hair smell like a smoking section. It only smelled sweet in the bottle but once i put it in my hands and applied it to my hair, it smelled awful. This went straight to the trash for me.
Ashtray oil
It's on me I read the reviews that said it would smell bad, didn't believe them then asked a sales associate if she had heard about the smell. After using it once and shampooing my hair with 3 different shampoos….my hair still smells. My husband compared the smell to a bowling alley floor. Well here's hoping my shampoo tomorrow will make the smell dissipate.
Smell
When I first started using this product it smelt just as the packaging says (mango, papaya, coconut). Using the product now the smell is not the same and you get that raw castor oil smell. The product is great just disappointed that it does not smell like it used too.

Over the years I've tried all kinds of hair products. As I'm aging and I noticed my hair thinning. When I saw the ad for Kreyol Essence , I said "OK, another hair product to try." So, I began using the Haitian Castor Oil around May 2023. .It seem like even the texture of my hair changed. Now , my hair is care free! I color my hair, shampoo and massage the oil into my hair while it's wet. I brush it to distribute to the ends, pull it together and let it dry overnight. When I tell you my hair is gorgeous!!! I have great length and love my hair again! I highly recommend!!!
