The BEST Hair Clip For Coarse Textured Hair I took a chance on buying the PATTERN HAIR CLIP while shopping for larger hair clips to keep my hair up when it's too hot or I just want my hair out of my face. It's marketed toward black hair textures, which usually means coarse, thick, curly/coily hair that needs a little muscle to keep in place, but this clip can be used by anyone who has coarse, maximum/medium density hair, that can be curly, wavy or straight. It probably won't be a good fit if you have fine textured and low density hair because it would be overkill.
The clip feels sturdy and the teeth look skinnier than the other clips but this clip holds all of my hair in place and securely. I usually just twist my hair up and in the back and put the clip on it. Other clips would have hair slip out over time or they would be too small to grab all the hair securely, but this clip doesn't have that issue. It holds my hair securely and I can wear it that way hours and it doesn't feel heavy or start pinching and pulling my hair because of uneven tension.
I'm going to buy a few more just to keep on hand.
Not for thick straight hair I was so excited to get this clip!! I (incorrectly) assumed that since it was designed to hold full, curly hair that it would work well with mine (full, thick, but straight). I have yet to find a clip that will hold my hair. Since it's gotten longer, I dont like the awkwardly long hair that flops around when the clip is at the base of the twist so i have to double it to actually hold it back. This clip slipped right through my hair and had zero grip. Which explains how it could work for curly textures and not straight. It also felt kind of thin like if i squeezed it into my hair to tighten it that it would break, but then again a lightweight clip may be a good thing for curlies and couldve been done on purpose. I feel so dense now that i think about it, but im posting this in case anyone else with super thick, straight/wavy is also thinking this clip is a good match.

This clip holds my fine, wavy hair and feels like it's well made. Like it won't break easily (hopefully not). And it's black so it matches any outfit.

I have super thick and long hair. Finding a claw clips that can hold all of it and look cute is a bigger struggle than I thought. This clip is big enough for my hair twisted TWICE! No clip can do this for me. When I move my head it doesn't slip, and it feels tight in there. Cannot recommend enough.

I've had a lot of clips but this one is the best and the one I reach for the most. I have long thick natural hair and this keeps ALL my hair in place. Amazing product. Not your average clip.
