Hello, if I only use this product once a week is it going to work or would it not be worth it?
- Asked by A
- Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand EngageHi there, we recommend using Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner 1-3x/week and working up to daily use if needed. The product is still effective at exfoliation with one use per week. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you
- Q
Can it be used in pubic areas?
- Asked by kiera
- Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand EngageGlycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner has been tested for use on the face, neck, and scalp. It can also exfoliate areas of the body experiencing rough and bumpy skin. However, we do not recommend applying this product to covered areas of the body such as the inner thighs or underarms, as these areas may have more sensitive skin, and the natural occlusion of these regions may make them more prone to irritation. Was this answer helpful to you

In what stage of our skincare at night do we add the toner? Right now at night, i do cleanser, then an HA/Beta Glucan serum, and then a moisturizer.

- Q
I bought the AHA 30% + BHA 2% High-Strength Peeling Solution for Brightening how should I use both that and the Glycolouc toner?
- Asked by Jo
- Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand EngageHi there, we recommend using AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution and Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner in separate regimens as they are both direct acids. We'd recommend using the AHA 30% + BHA 2% Peeling Solution once a week, and Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner 1-2x/week in separate regimens (preferably in the PM) if you're planning on using both of them. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you

Chemical Scalp Exfoliant - Helps Manage Dandruff & Oils
I use this product for "other than the intended purpose". Skin care is important to me, but I struggle with psoriasis/dermatitis which sometimes results in dandruff and a rough patch behind one ear. In the past I have tried glycolic acid for my face and it was terrible. More than just a purging, it...

Not a bad product, my skin just didn't care for it
Product came with 2 options to apply them with: a squirtle or a regular top lid thingy. I chose the squirtle and I'd spritz it on a bottom pad and swept across my face. It would sting me. I thought my skin was just not used to it. This was one of the first products I purchased when I got into skinca...

Holy grail
I have mild to moderate keratosis pilaris (KP) on my thighs and upper arms, and The Ordinary's Glycolic Acid has honestly been amazing. I noticed improvement within 24 hours, which really surprised me. After about three applications over about 4 days, the texture and appearance on my thighs improved significantly. Since I see my thighs more often than my upper arms, the changes there were especially noticeable. I almost never write reviews for products, but this one truly impressed me. It's quickly become a holy grail product in my routine. If you struggle with KP and are looking for something to help smooth the skin's texture and appearance, this has been a game changer for me.
It burnt underneath my eyes
i wanted to love this product so bad but unfortunately it got chemical burns. keep in mind i do have sensitive skin
I like
I love the way the product brightens my skin on my face.
Way too harsh
This exfoliating toner is WAY too harsh for my fair, sensitive, so what pale skin. Applied via cotton round, IMMEDIATELY noticed redness and string stinging and burning. This persisted even aftet washing it off with cool water and a gentile, moosturizing clenser. Would absolutely not recommend for anyone with dry or skin the least bit sensitive! I was trying this out instead of ising their salicylic acid serum, which I like but was seeking something more effective to gently exfoliate; physical exfoliants are typically too harsh for my face.
