Chemical Scalp Exfoliant - Helps Manage Dandruff & Oils

I use this product for "other than the intended purpose". Skin care is important to me, but I struggle with psoriasis/dermatitis which sometimes results in dandruff and a rough patch behind one ear. In the past I have tried glycolic acid for my face and it was terrible. More than just a purging, it...

Not a bad product, my skin just didn't care for it

Product came with 2 options to apply them with: a squirtle or a regular top lid thingy. I chose the squirtle and I'd spritz it on a bottom pad and swept across my face. It would sting me. I thought my skin was just not used to it. This was one of the first products I purchased when I got into skinca...

This product is so amazing! I have extremely fair complexion and sensitive skin and it doesn't irritate me at all. It's even helping to remove the milia around my eyes and at the corners of my nose that I've had for years.Nothing works like this!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

I used it for my underarm discoloration and it brighten them up a lot! For sensitive skin (which I have), it could burn a little, but not much at all.

Such a staple for my skin and hair

This stuff serves so many purposes, it's so affordable and produces results. I use it to prevent blackheads and breakouts, to exfoliate dead skin. Glycolic acid is the smallest (AHA acid) so it penetrates deeper than the other acids. My dark spots and blemishes have started to clear up!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Q
can you use it for undereye milia???

As none of our products can be considered medical treatments for milia, you may wish to discuss suitable treatments for persistent signs of milia with your physician or dermatologist :-)Was this answer helpful to you
Q
I use the volufine and retinal 1.0 with squalene. Can I fit this into my routine?
Asked by Charlotte
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi there, we do not recommend using Retinoids with Direct Acids in the same regimen. However, Volufiline 92% + Pal-Isoleucine 1% has no contraindications and can be used with both retinoids and direct acids. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Can I use this under my arms?
Asked by Adaline
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner has been tested for use on the face, neck, and scalp. It can also exfoliate areas of the body experiencing rough and bumpy skin. However, we do not recommend applying this product to covered areas of the body such as the inner thighs or underarms, as these areas may have more sensitive skin, and the natural occlusion of these regions may make them more prone to irritation. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
What is the best serum to safely use with this. I have very mild acne and dark spots
Asked by Julia
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi there, we have many treatments that work well with Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner, however, based on your concerns you may wish to pair it with Alpha Arbutin 2% + HA to target dark spots! We hope this helps <3Was this answer helpful to you
Q
I use a prescription retinol once every other night. Would it be an issue to use this as a toner on the nights I skip my retinol?
Asked by Kat J
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Unfortunately, it is difficult for us to comment on the pairing of our products with those of other brands. However, we do not recommend combining direct acids with our range of retinoids. We recommend consulting with your doctor/dermatologist, gradually incorporating one new product into your regimen at a time, and applying test patches first to see what works best for your skin. Was this answer helpful to you
