The Ordinary recommends performing a patch test prior to incorporating a new product into your skin care routine.
Use ideally in the PM, no more frequently than once per day. After cleaning, saturate a cotton pad with the formula and sweep across the face and neck. Avoid the eye contour and contact with eyes. This formula should not be used on sensitive, peeling or compromised skin. Limit sun exposure while using this product and for a week afterwards.
Contraindications: Do not use in the same routine as direct Acids, EUK 134 0.1%, retinoids, pure or ethylated vitamin C, or peptides.

It can also exfoliate areas of the body experiencing rough and bumpy skin. However, we do not recommend applying this product to covered areas of the body such as the inner thighs or underarms, as these areas may have more sensitive skin, and the natural occlusion of these regions may make them more prone to irritation. I absolutely LOVE this. It definitely helps with preventing odor in unwanted areas.
Prevented ingrowns AND lightened acne scar dark spots!
I began by using this after shaving in sensitive areas as I was prone to painful ingrowns/pimples if not. This (along with the fur oil) SAVED me and I have never had ingrowns ever since!! It has also made my sensitive areas lighter overtime! I then just began using it in my face care routine as a "serum" right after my typical toner but before my essence and it has 100% lightened my acne scar dark spots! I have acne-prone sensitive dry-learning combination skin that's typically very reactive to new products, but this did not cause me any harm. It did burn when applied over open acne sores, but that's expected.
