Chemical Scalp Exfoliant - Helps Manage Dandruff & Oils

I use this product for "other than the intended purpose". Skin care is important to me, but I struggle with psoriasis/dermatitis which sometimes results in dandruff and a rough patch behind one ear. In the past I have tried glycolic acid for my face and it was terrible. More than just a purging, it...

Not a bad product, my skin just didn't care for it

Product came with 2 options to apply them with: a squirtle or a regular top lid thingy. I chose the squirtle and I'd spritz it on a bottom pad and swept across my face. It would sting me. I thought my skin was just not used to it. This was one of the first products I purchased when I got into skinca...

Such a staple for my skin and hair

This stuff serves so many purposes, it's so affordable and produces results. I use it to prevent blackheads and breakouts, to exfoliate dead skin. Glycolic acid is the smallest (AHA acid) so it penetrates deeper than the other acids. My dark spots and blemishes have started to clear up!

Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend to a friend

Reasonably priced for a good amount of product! Gentle enough to use on the body daily. Remember not to use it a fay or two after shaving. I used it on my elbows, knees, armpits and decollate mosy evenings. After it dries down then I apply moisturizer. Much improved tone, texature, and moisture. Also, helps to hold armpit funk at bay. I wish they had a 10% concentration too! For the cost, it is worth giving it a try and if it doesn't work for you there is surely someone in your life who if will work for.

Q
I use a prescription retinol once every other night. Would it be an issue to use this as a toner on the nights I skip my retinol?
Asked by Kat J
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Unfortunately, it is difficult for us to comment on the pairing of our products with those of other brands. However, we do not recommend combining direct acids with our range of retinoids. We recommend consulting with your doctor/dermatologist, gradually incorporating one new product into your regimen at a time, and applying test patches first to see what works best for your skin. Was this answer helpful to you
Q
Will help with stubborn whiteheads on nose ?
Asked by Estela
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Hi there, while Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner will help, you may wish to explore a formula like Salicylic Acid 2% Solution for stubborn whiteheads as it is oil-soluble and can penetrate deeper into the pore. Alternatively, we have Salicylic Acid 2% Masque. We hope this helps! Was this answer helpful to you

Q
Can i use it on my elbow and knees to brighten it
Asked by Yena
Official Answer By The Ordinary - Brand Engage
Glycolic Acid 7% Exfoliating Toner has been tested for use on the face, neck, and scalp. It can also exfoliate areas of the body experiencing rough and bumpy skin. However, we do not recommend applying this product to covered areas of the body such as the inner thighs or underarms, as these areas may have more sensitive skin, and the natural occlusion of these regions may make them more prone to irritation. Was this answer helpful to you
