Most Helpful Positive Review Fantastic for Fine but Dense, Wavy Hair I just had to write a review in case it helps someone who has similar wants/needs for their hair! I have fine wavy hair (2A-2C), but a lot of it. I was doing the Curly Girl Method for 2 years but have ultimately decided that having select silicones in my hair products just makes my life SO much easier and makes my hair look and feel great for days. So I spent a lot of time looking for a new conditioner...one that wouldn't leave a film over my hair and prevent moisture from entering the hair but would also provide some of the benefits that come from using water soluble silicones (shine, smooth frizz, preserve curl etc).
Cue me discovering Ulta now carries Verb, a brand I've always wanted to try. I actually took the hair quiz on Verb's website, which indicated that the Ghost Conditioner would be my best bet. So then I reviewed the ingredients, which really impressed me! There are so many good ingredients (hydrolyzed proteins, jojoba oil, aloe leaf juice, etc) for moisturizing my wavy hair and also contains water soluble conditioning agents (Stearamidopropyl Dimethylamine), which is what makes my life and hair so much easier to style and work with.
So I was already super excited to try this given the ingredients, and when I used it the first time, I could hear the hallelujah chorus. The conditioner felt so good working it through my hair, it basically spread like butter and I didn't have to use much to get that "seaweed hair" feeling that wavies/curlies like to have. Plus, it smells SO good. After washing it out, I used one styling product (a lightweight gel) when I normally have to use several to get the look I want, and let it air dry. My hair looked perfect! It wasn't weighed down at all and I had frizz free bouncy waves that lasted me 4 days before washing again.
So, I LOVE this stuff and am so glad I tried it. I really hope this helps someone who may be facing similar issues!
Most Helpful Critical Review Drugstore but better packaging I really wanted to love this from all the positive reviews but the most remarkable thing about the conditioner is the bottle (which I admit is especially attractive design, I wish all products came in all black packaging.) It was far from particularly moisturizing, didn't deliver in the frizz taming department or help me manage damage from coloring and heat. The smell is hard to describe but an unusually soapy scent that somehow lingered quite a while, I can only describe it as smelling like an "unscented" drugstore conditioner which wasn't helped by it feeling like it does as much for my hair as a considerably cheaper drugstore conditioner. I'm coming from using a mix of salon products and health store natural products but I definitely fell for a targeted ad on the gram with this one. Honestly baffled by how many good reviews this has.

My thin, curly hair loves Verb Ghost conditioner and shampoo. I've used many, MANY products on my hair and ended up with oily, weighed down hair. Not with Verb! I will use this until my hair decides otherwise.

This product is great. The only complaint I have is that it is SO THICK that it does not squeeze out of the bottle so I have to take the lid off to get product to use.

I personally have no problems with this conditioner. It has made my hair feel so much softer, smoother and lighter!
Felt like no conditioning after rinsing 3

I bought it because I was looking for something cheaper than Joico, better than L'Oréal that visit. The associate noted Ghost was a good compromise for my hair's needs, but WOW was I disappointed. Actually checked the bottle to confirm I didn't buy the shampoo on accident! I should have bought the L'Oréal; half the price and better results :-(

i absolutely hate this. i'm going to return it, even though i just returned another conditioner that made my hair greasy. i guess i won't shop at ulta for conditioner anymore, since they never carry anything good.
Left my hair greasy feeling 1

I have thick but fine hair and this was not the right product for that hair type. The shampoo was ok (not worth the price) but the conditioner left my hair so greasy and stringy looking. I used about a quarter sized amount on thick hair down past my shoulder blades. Didn't like it at all.

I was given this conditioner as a gift and was really excited to try it, until not even a month later when my hair started feeling frizzy and dry. Normally I don't have to do much to my hair (a little leave in and some oil for extra gloss) however recently I've had to saturate my ends with my leave in just to get my hair to its normal state. Maybe if you're super oily it'll work, but I'm honestly disappointed.

I was looking for a new conditioner bc my hair was just getting dry and I started to get spilt ends. I have thick wavy straight hair. My hair is naturally oily & have hard water. Since I started using this I've noticed I have less spilt ends and my hair looks shinier and healthier. I'm so glad I bought this. Probably my new fav conditioner.

Reading through the reviews, I can see people have wildly different experiences with this conditioner. With my course, incredibly porous wavy/frizzy thick hair, Im not even the target customer for this product. But maaaaan, it works GREAT for me. Gives great slip, detangles on contact, and rinses well. A brush zipped right through straight out of the shower. Highly unusual. I don't air dry much, so can't speak to frizz, but it blew out in a snap and was shiny and glossy. Am back for the large size, and am about to toss a bunch of "this'll do for now" conditioners out of my shower.
THE BEST THING EVER 5

I have super curly hair and it's bleached. I've been looking for a good conditioner for months….. something that I don't have to shower daily to give me good results. THIS IS THE BEST THING EVER!!!! I used it a couple of times with a leave in and I've never been happier. Sometimes I can go up to 5 days without washing my hair and it'll be like I just showered yesterday. Invest in this. It's worth your money!

So happy with this companion to the shampoo. My hair was left smooth, siky, liht and so easy to style.

My previous experience with verb is their ghost oil, which I love. I started using this conditioner and I really like it so far. I use a cheaper, drugstore shampoo and I usually like to balance that out with a better, moisturizing conditioner. My hair usually doesn't tangle so I don't worry about that, I look for something that will soften and straighten my hair. This stuff works very well, my hair smells good, it's soft and silky. I would definitely buy again!
Doesn't soften or detangle 2
Usually Eva nyc + moroccanoil from West coast US
Not horrible, but doesn't do anything special for my hair. Usually use Eva NYC but local Ulta was out picked this up to try. Won't be trying again. Leaves hair feeling like it needs more moisture. Had to use extra moroccanoil to recoup. Hapa hair. Long. Fine. Not dyed and rarely heat air.
Amazing 5

You do need to use a little more than usual but it left my hair feeling amazing. After I got out of the shower I really didn't feel like I was going to love it since it didn't feel silky after rinsing but once my hair dried and I followed with their hair oil….I'm in love!
Thick and thin hair 4

Ghost shampoo and conditioner are great products, been using it for about a month now. My wife (who has thin straight hair) loves it and has worked wonders for her. I (who has thick frizzy wavy hair) works well but not alone, I have to pair it with my Kevin Murphy products to help with the tangles but it definitely helped with my frizz and bring back some shine.
Breakage and Thinning 2

I went from Dove to this shampoo and conditioner set as I was looking to upgrade my hair products. I really liked it at first but after almost finishing the bottles my scalp has really taken a toll. It's very dry and itchy. My hair also breaks VERY easily now. I don't think I'll be repurchasing.
Lightweight hydration 5

Okay so this didn't leave my hair feeling super soft and silky and moisturized right from the get go, which I found very off putting at first and I actually thought I was going to return this shampoo and conditioner after I purchased it. However, as my hair was air drying I noticed that my hair was lighter and more flowy, but it's super soft and silky and shiny as if I used my moisturizing shampoo and conditioner, but without the excess weight. I have fine hair and a LOT of it and this makes my hair less frizzy and very hydrated
Is this a joke? 1

Honestly…horrible. How did this get so many good reviews? I am the target market for this shampoo/conditioner combo and it did the exact opposite of what it's supposed to do. Made my hair dry, tangled, gross feeling. Took me like 10 mins to brush the knots out of my hair. What a waste of money.
It worked for me. 5

For the times I didn't use my toning shampoo and mask OR co-wash. I found the Ghost shampoo and conditioner to work great for me. I do not wash my hair more than twice a week. I think many people tend to over-wash their hair. That's a whole different issue and has nothing to do with this conditioner. I really liked this. It just depends on how you treat your hair.

Gross. Left my hair crusty and gross. I have NEVER had my hair feel so awful after a wash. Skip out on this

The only positive I find in this conditioner is that it doesn't have a strong smell. It honestly reminds me of the conditioner from the 99 cent store. I had to use a lot to get the knots out of my hair from the shampoo (and I have fine/straight hair but a lot of hair). I was looking for something to help keep my hair healthy, as it was getting too used to the Redken All Soft and wasn't looking it's best anymore. This is not it. Next!
Trust me...just TRUST ME on this 5

I have been desperately wanting this line but continued to push myself away from it because of the price tag and honestly i regret it. I bought numerous other(less expensive) products until one morning I walked into Ulta and boom, there was a brand new display of the verb trial kit. I didnt hesitate to snatch it up because it came with a full sized ghost oil, which was worth the price alone. The scent is subtle (not great but not bad) but boy oh boy after I dried my hair...it feels like heaven. It feels SO SOFT so lightweight and I just cannot stop touching it. I dont think I can ever buy anything else. Thank you verb!!
Must buy it! 5
Nance from Cali
Don't think, buy! I recently dyed my hair, and it was tangled, dry, and a bit damaged. This moisturized my hair and help detangle after I shower (before using this, I spend 5 mins straight brushing my hair out after the shower…literally 5 mins when it should take 1 min or less). I have long straight hair, and my hair is not thick nor thin. I use 1.5 pumps of this and 1.5 pumps of another conditioner to treat my dry scalp.
Not even close to being worth the price 2

Like the others, was happy to see a lot of good reviews but I didn't particularly like this conditioner. I think the cheaper stuff at the store is similar if not better than this. Didn't really do anything to my hair. No good smell, not left shiny or feeling soft even. Nothing. I have fine thin hair. Not good for this combo apparently.
