I bought this based off reviews, and I'm so glad I did! It really does sink into your skin leaving more of a moisturized feeling rather than greasy. Also, I have pretty sensitive skin so I was a bit worried this would break me out, but so far (after using a few weeks) I haven't experienced anything abnormal.
The product itself is really runny so be careful when opening the tube.
Finally, I would suggest keeping this as far away from your eyes as possible. My eyes water every now and then, and I think somehow it caused the lotion to get in my eye. It burned so much I had to take off all my makeup immediately and wash my face. Other than that, it's a great lotion and I highly recommend!
This product is legit caca. If you want to look like a cartoon u should buy it. I had bought this product at Ulta and wanted to use it for the first time. I have sensitive sun damaged skin, so I wanted to protect it from it rays. I was gonna be in the sun the next day so I bought it. The next morning I had evenly applied it for my long sunny day ahead.Throughout the day I had noticed that my skin kept getting tighter and flushed. I thought that I hadn't put enough sunscreen on and maybe I ended up getting sun burned. When I got home I just decided to give my skin a break and cleanse it off and leave it alone. The first thing I did was use my AMAZING micellar water that I have used for years. I knew something wasnt right when water made my face BURN. I kept telling myself that I was sunburned. I had only been out in the sun for a couple of hours in 70° heat. How could it be sunburn? So then I decided that my skin was just irritated and I decided to take a Benadryl before I went to bed...I woke up at 5 in the morning in PAIN. When I open my eyes I couldn't see clearly. I wiped them thinking maybe I had I boogers but when I stuck my finger on my eye, it sunk in like a well full of water. It was pitch black, my face was burning, and my eye was flowing like an underground busted water pipe. well folks the pictures say it all...I got up to look in the mirror and my face... looked...like...THAT. My eyes were swollen especially the right one. The whole right side of my face was filled with fluid. my skin burned like the pits of h e double hockey sticks. Needless to say I didn't go to school this day. I went to the er and they gave me a cup of liquid steroids to drink to get my body to stop attacking my face. BECAUSE WHATEVER T F IS IN IT IS TOXIC!!! anyways I had to be on oral steroids for a week all because of sum bum sunscreen. Thank you that is all

i have super oily skin and i live in texas (100°F all the time) so it's already difficult to wear makeup without it sliding away and separating but sunscreen always makes it 10x worse. ive had the least problems with this one. under makeup, it looks like i'm not even wearing sunscreen. but make sure you're careful around the eyes and you wash your hands after putting it on, this stuff BURNS if it gets in your eyes and it takes forever for that feeling to go away.

its not a bad sunscreen but if you plan on wearing makeup on top, it will peel.

I don't wear foundation, so I like a sunscreen that is more matte for a natural face, this is the one! I was really surprised by the negative comments, one being eye sting. The only time I have had an issue with that is from actual eye cream migrating. Also the formula is not thick, it rubs in great.

I love this sunscreen. There is no white cast, and it dries matte. I have oily skin, and this works perfectly for me.
A lot of reviews speak of burning eyes which I haven't experienced but are you supposed to apply this product near your eyes? I don't think so. There are sunscreens specific for the eye area, but this isn't one of them.

I love this sunscreen. It's super thin and easy to rub in and feels good on my skin

I have had a great experience using this sunscreen. I have noticed an improvement in my skins health with regular use. My skin is moisturized all day. I have less sun spots or dark spots on my face and neck. I have dry skin, eczema, some allergies, hormonal cystic acne, and overall sensitive skin and I have very fair skin. So I have to be very picky about what I use on my skin and I really want to avoid sun burns and skin damage. Despite all of this, the Sun Bum face spf 50 has been meeting all of my needs in a face sunscreen. It occasionally can sting my eyes, not bad enough to be a deal breaker for me considering all the ways that it works so well for me. I would recommend to a friend for sure.

This sunscreen has a nice texture and doesn't leave a white cast for me, but after a little it burns my eyes a lot and my eyes get watering
Hailee from Florida
I wore this sunscreen while out in the hot FL sun running my errands. Like one does, I applied the sunscreen all over my face including my eye area and it did not take long till my eyes were watering to the point it looked like I was crying. This sunscreen made my eyes so uncomfortable I tried rinsing/wiping it off but the stinging sensation was still there even a few hours after application.
Needless to say I will not continue to use this product and I will not be repurchasing.

Will go back to nutrogena sunscreen

My husband and I both tried this and it made our faces burn, especially around the eyes. It had a chemical smell that was so overwhelming and gross.

I've been using it for years, every day. I have sensitive, oily, and acne prone skin. this face lotion doesn't make me breakout & my skin doesn't look oily. I wish they'd make an spf 30 version because I want some sun tan on my face.

I have been struggling to find a good spf sunscreen and I feel like I have found the one. I don't know how it irritates other peoples eyes cuz it doesn't irritate mine. I apply around the orbital area but not where my under eye is. Anyways, it's lightweight and a lil oily but it mattes over the 15 min mark. I have normal to oily and dry skin and the sunscreen is great even after I apply moisturizer. So Good luck!

Amazed how many similar comments there are! Why haven't they changed the formula? I love this sunscreen because it doesn't break me out like sooo many others I've tried over the years. BUT it gets into my eyes and burns so badly, all day my eyes are watering and burning. So awful

I really liked their tinted face sunscreen! But it was half the size for a higher price, so I thought I would try this BUT NO
IT BURNS MY EYES SO BAD
Currently resting a wet cloth on my eyelids. I wasn't even sweating, I was just sitting in my living room and my eyes started burning, I wouldn't even attempt to use this while swimming omg
Fail of a product for this to be advertised for the face! Will probably finish the bottle on my neck/chest but definitely not buying again

Review: I was SUPER skeptical to buy this because I saw some people's reviews about this sunblock burning their skin. I have really sensitive skin myself and other sunblocks break me out. I decided to try this one out and I LOVEEEEE it. No regrets what so ever!! Didn't burn my skin, does not feel icky on my skin, didnt break me out (woohoo!) and not one sunburn after swimming for hours! I wore this sunblock in Las Vegas in 117 degree weather, went swimming, and it worked amazing for me. Keep in mind everyone's skin is different and what doesn't work for others doesn't mean it won't work for you. Don't let the comments steer you away! Works great under makeup with some setting powder too. Love love love!

I love this face sunscreen, it distributes very well on my face and feels really good! It hasn't made me break out and it feels a bit heavy, but only like a moisturizer would.
My only complaint is that it leaves a tiny bit of a white cast which is almost invisible. I'm super pale so it doesn't affect me haha, but if you're looking for no white cast at all, maybe don't buy this.
However, I can barely feel it once I put it on and let it sit for a while, and my other skin care products love it!

I purchased this product because I wanted a reef safe sunscreen and I like this product for that reason. It has some other benefits, but not much differing it from other sunscreens. The MAJOR con for this product, though, is that it burns the beep out of my eyes. I won't put it anywhere near my eyes and they still burn. Even afterwards, if the product is on my hands and I so much as graze my eyebrow, it will burn my eyes. I don't like it for this reason.

Wanted to start using sunscreen since summer is coming up but everytime I apply it to my face it burns my eyes. At first I thought I had an eyelash but after reapplying a few times it really is just the cream. Funny thing is I made sure after the first time to apply not close to my eyes/not to touch my face and it still happened. I don't recommend :c

I would use this product on my face over and over again. So.... far no cons yet.

I do not have sensitive skin or eyes and this sunscreen burns my eyes terribly everytime I use it. I would never repurchase this.

I usually like sun Bum but I realize I've only ever used it on my body. I applied this to my face, not near my eyes, and it made its way there with a vengeance. I have been rinsing my eyes for hours, using eye drops, closing them, I'm trying everything. They're swollen shut. I'm so tired of sunscreen doing this to me but this is the worst reaction I've had. I liked the price of this sunscreen compared to most others but I'm regretting it so much. If you use this find a way to keep it out of your eyes. I would especially keep this away from kids :( it did soak into my skin nicely, didn't feel greasy, made me look moisturized and Matte. And swollen and destroyed.

I use this as the last step of my skincare routine in the morning. While it does protect my skin from the sun, it's very greasy feeling and never really dries or absorbs into the skin. It stings the absolute frick out of your eyes so I wouldn't recommend putting it all over your eyes. If you like the dewy look, then this is great. But for people with acne like me, it kinda just makes it look dirty.
Cloud from New York
Blended into the skin nicely, worked well under makeup. Only con is that it burns soo bad if it gets into my eyes
Julia from Tennessee
I was initially pleased with this product. It absorbs quickly and doesn't leave a white cast. It provides good protection from the sun. But every time I apply makeup over top, it pills up and leaves my face looking flaky.
